James Perry is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Area History Manager for Northern Europe, he was a historian and editor on previous volumes of 'Saints' - a narrative history of the Church. He was the general editor of the fourth and final volume of 'Saints.'I wanted to speak to James about his experience joining the Church as a young adult and becoming enamoured with the Church's history. I also wanted to discuss the fourth volume of Saints because it covers from 1955-2020 - so it seems less of a history and more of a deeper dive into the lives of members who are still living and leaders who we can get to know better.Some highlights from this episode include James's favourite stories from the fourth volume of 'Saints', what James would say to those who can't see the beauty and richness of Church history, and why everyone should read the new volume of 'Saints.'--The fourth volume of 'Saints: Sounded In Every Ear' will be released on October 29th.
