David stayed at a London hotel last night and is shattered after a late night out in Soho. He’s also feeling very old after being around so many trendy, young London people. But he’s ordered some room service, which Joe reveals he’s never done before - so David wants to know why. It turns out he’s rather more of reluctant to spend money than David had realised. Joe’s just back from a holiday in Pembrokeshire, so he tells David about what he got up to. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great but he did bump into comedian Paul F. Taylor, which was nice. And they discuss why they both always imaging living in the different holiday destinations that they visit. Joe also got stuck in a huge traffic jam on his way home, which may have tarnished his memory of the holiday - along with having to clear up the AirBnB at the end. We’re not gonna lie, it’s a haphazard start to the opening of the show. But once things have settled down, Joe and David start chatting about house extensions and how much hassle they may or may not be to organise. David’s just been to see one of his favourite bands The National, who were performing a concert at the Eden Project in Cornwall. He was shattered for the whole evening and had a weary drive there and back, but loved every minute of the show. It’s the last of our Back Chatalogue surprise guest repeats - and this one was a very special occasion for Joe. Earlier this year, he and David were joined by Paul Sinton-Hewit, who is the founder of Parkrun. It’s a fantastic organisation which has played an important part in thousands of runner’s lives all over the world since Paul founded it in 2004.
