James O'connor on facing his demons, self discovery & life as a well travelled rugby legend.

James O’Connor burst onto the super rugby scene as a 17 year old & had his first Wallabies cap at the ripe age of 18. His early talent marked him a stand out for rugby fans & a target for the Australian media. As a young man mistakes are inevitable & James’ often made for good headlines on the back page & a tirade of criticism. Both of which hugely influenced his decision to step outside of Australia & explore career opportunities in Europe for a number of years. Now back on home soil, it’s clear that James has made peace with himself & ultimately has nothing to prove, yet a lot to show for the journey he has been on. His 16 year career has been one of many twists & turns. He has battled substance & alcohol addiction, faced his demons & come out the other side with a legendary career that is still well & truly alive at the Queensland Reds. Enjoy the ep & be sure to subscribe to the poddy on your platform of choice & share it with your mates. Ally Langdon shares the story behind her career in Australian media.

Ally Langdon is the wonderfully talented & caring host of A Current Affair. Her career progression has been astonishing, she made her way into the world of journalism & media, as a Nightline producer before working her way up the ranks to be a prominent part of channel 9's 60 Minutes, co-anchor alongside Karl Stefanovic on Today Show & now the host of A Current Affair. A career that she attributes to a relentless work ethic & the occasional bit of luck- which is quite humble of her I must say.We discussed her early life living in regional NSW where her passion for journalism was born, the development of her career path & the reasons behind the decisions made along the way, her passion for speaking on mental health & domestic violence & of course, her wonderful family.I couldn't speak more highly of Ally. Just an incredibly kind & warm hearted person who gave me nothing but respect & her undivided focus. It made for one hell of a bloody great yarn that I am certain you will all enjoy.Give the show a follow on your platform of choice. Share it with a mate or to your social media & if you'd like to follow Ally or myself more closely, you can connect with us both on instagram @bradleyjdryburgh @allisonlangdonBig love,Brad xoxo Hosted on Acast. Jack Post: Beyond the laughter & into the depths of male postnatal depression.

Jack Post is in my opinion, one of the funniest humans on the air waves.Jack's comedic talent shines in its own right but is widely known through his roles as the resident right hand man of GOLD 103.4FM's Christian O'Connell & the loveable often witty producer that acts as the sometimes understated yet vital waist-coast of the 3 piece suit that is the Hamish & Andy Podcast. In this episode we went beyond the laughter for a highly vulnerable & emotional conversation in which he spoke about the challenging days of early parenthood as he grappled with heavy postnatal depression, he shared some hilarious stories from his time working alongside Hamish & Andy & we ventured into a deeper conversation around the vehicle of creativity & how he established his career in radio & podcasting.I feel very privileged to have connected with Jack & to call him a mate. I know this conversation will be widely appreciated & helpful to so many, so please share it with your mates & spread the love.Big Love, Brad xoxo Hosted on Acast.
