Cho, M.D., is the chief of staff and a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shriners for Children Medical Center — Pasadena and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received an undergraduate degree with honors in chemistry from Cornell University and a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was a medical scholar and recipient of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Award. Dr. Cho completed his residency and served as chief administrative resident in orthopaedic surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. His fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and scoliosis was completed at the University of California San Diego College of Medicine and Rady Children’s Hospital. He is also on the board of directors for POSNA and is an ABOS question writer! And this is a great episode !!! He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society. He then moved to Chicago, where he earned his medical doctorate and graduated with honors from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Missouri and was fortunate to receive many awards, including the Allen Menard leadership award, the Barry J. Gainor resident award in education, and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute outstanding Orthopaedic resident award. During his residency, Dr. Nuelle gained the skills necessary to treat a vast array of orthopaedic injuries and patients of any age, but he discovered a special interest in treating athletic injuries. He completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Missouri, where he furthered his knowledge of arthroscopic surgical techniques for the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle as well as partial knee replacements. He also served as a team physician for University of Missouri Athletics. In leading the largest orthopaedics department in the DoD, he helps guide a multispecialty department for care of active duty soldiers, retirees, and their families. As faculty at San Antonio Military Medical Center he is the sole pediatric orthopaedic surgeon in the US Air Force. Previously the Associate Program Director of the Orthopaedic Residency Program at SAMMC. Practice interests include the care of pediatric developmental conditions and injuries, adolescent sports medicine, and young adult hip pathology with both open and arthroscopic hip preservation techniques .
