Bekah’s Back: A Brief Catch-up and Chatting with Effects Make-up Extraordinaire Doug Morrow  While Elric is still away working on a film, Bekah is back for an abridged solo episode, discussing highlights of what she has been watching and reading during the break and then chatting with special effects make-up legend Doug Morrow.

 Deep Cuts- June. Elric and Bekah will be back to Colors of the Dark in just two weeks, but in the meantime here is another bonus episode of Deep Cuts. This one is from early June, and the duo dive into a round of new releases, camp classics, and hard-to-find gems. Specific titles discussed are The Sadness, Men, and the Netflix series Feria: The Darkest Light as well as the Ghoulies franchise, hard-to-find folk horror, and graphic novels. While COLORS OF THE DARK is on break, we are sharing episodes of our Patreon show DEEP CUTS. In this episode from March 2022, Elric and Bekah discuss lots of weird and wild finds. Elric brings a triple feature of obscure horror films set in hotels, while Bekah dives into hard-to-find 70s EuroTrash and lesser-known French extremism. 

While Bekah and Elric are taking a break, we have another DEEP CUTS bonus episode for you! On Episode 37 of Fangoria’s COLORS OF THE DARK Elric and Bekah discuss new films CRABS!, THE BUBBLE, BITCH ASS, LUX AETERNA, VORTEX, WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR & PIGGY. The duo are then joined by guests Craig Engler & Sam Zimmerman of SHUDDER to go deep into the origins of the company and how they came to work there, how the original films are developed, curation and the future of the horror streamer.  The hosts close out the show with a few choice cuts from the Shudder library for your viewing pleasure. 

On Episode 36 of Fangoria’s COLORS OF THE DARK Elric and Bekah discuss new releases YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER, WITCH HUNT, THE LONG WALK & BLOOD ORANGES. The duo then discuss a few undisputed classics from the 1960's that influenced the genre before counting down their individual Top Ten Horror Films of the 1960's. From expressionistic art house horror to early slashers this one runs the gamut of horror history. 

On Episode 35 of Fangoria’s COLORS OF THE DARK Elric and Bekah discuss new releases X, THE CURSED, ULTRASOUND, THE SEED, DEADSTREAM & THE EXORCISM OF GOD. The duo then delve into some of their favorite Horror films about filmmaking (not found footage) before sitting down with Director Ti West to discuss his new film X that follows a film crew making an Adult film in 1979 but run into all sorts of horrors. Warning: We highly recommend seeing the X prior to listening to the Interview portion at the end of the episode due to some SPOILERS. 

On Episode 34 of Fangoria’s COLORS OF THE DARK Elric and Bekah discuss new releases NO EXIT, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE '22, ALONE WITH YOU, I BLAME SOCIETY, POLAROID & PARANOIAC. The duo are then joined by filmmaker Mickey Keating to discuss his atmospheric new film OFFSEASON and some of the creepy abandoned town films that inspired it. Lots of great deep cuts from seaside horrors to Lovecraftian nightmares.
