1) Podcast networks are aiming to tap into influencer marketing budgets, as they believe podcast hosts often have a similar social media presence to traditional influencers. Big podcast player iHeartMedia reported an 8% rise in second-quarter revenue, partially due to its strategy of promoting podcast hosts as influencers. However, the challenge lies in convincing those who control influencer marketing budgets of this new approach.
