StorCo not only provides storage solutions to the communities it’s three facilities are in but is also a part of the community itself. About today's guest: James Reid At age 8, James started to work for his father’s company, Reid’s Tree Service. Among many things, his father taught him how to work hard and to provide customer satisfaction, one client at a time. He dreamed of owning a company like his dad, and at age 13, he started a lawn service. While going through high school, he hired a crew to focus on school and grow his business at the same time. College offered him the opportunity to learn more about the industry and business. While attending college, he opened a Garden Center to provide his clients the best quality plants and materials. In 2008, James saw another opportunity to provide safe, clean affordable housing to residents in the vicinity of Moscow Mills, Missouri. By purchasing 10 mobile home units in a nice mobile home park, Rental Solutions was born. Rental Solutions provides homes to 10 families on an ongoing basis. With continuous maintenance and repair, he protects his investment which has continued to provide nice homes for families for more than 10 years. Always focused on opportunities, James began studying the self-storage market in 2010. After searching for the perfect property for more than 3 years, he successfully purchased, financed, designed, and transformed a former car dealership into the latest addition to his holdings, StorCo Self Storage. StorCo offers more than 500 secure, indoor, climate-controlled units for the residents in the Wood River, Illinois area. StorCo has convenient entry and exit points and offers outdoor parking for RVs, campers, boats and more. In addition, the building offers white-box rental spaces for small businesses including Comet Cleaners and office spaces for the State of Illinois. Frazier is a self-storage owner and operator, who has leveraged social media to help grow his self-storage business. About today's guest: Frazier Robinson Frazier has been involved in various aspects of real estate for the last five and a half years, in roles such as; project management, mobile notary, real estate agent, as well as an owner and operator in self-storage facilities. Frazier got involved in self-storage approximately three years ago and found his first self-storage facility looking on the MLS as a real estate agent. He partnered with his brother on this self-storage facility, and they soon realized how much they enjoyed the industry and went on to purchase four more and owned a total of five after about nine months. In 2020, Frazier and his brother sold two of the facilities for a profit of over $1 million dollars. Frazier currently operates and performs the day-to-day management of the three remaining facilities. In the past year and a half, Frazier has been producing social media content about self-storage ownership, operation, and investment. The majority of this content is found on TikTok, and more recently on YouTube.
