Why The Statement on Social Justice and the Gospel?
Send us a text“Social justice is a gospel issue.” If you’ve heard this said once recently, you’ve likely heard it dozens of times. This phrase has become the rallying cry of prominent evangelical leaders, many of which are under 50, who believe that Christians and the church have the duty to rectify perceived injustices against blacks, women, homosexuals/transgenders, and other designated oppressed groups...

TCW Minute: Once Saved, Always Saved (Week of Sept. 10, 2018)
Send us a textOnce saved, always saved? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. It’s an age-old debate about whether a Christian can lose their salvation. Jesus gives a clear answer in John 10 where He says: My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. John 10:27-29Eternal security for the Christian is based on God’s promise and power. When He adopts one into His family, He never un-adopts that person.Hear more about eternal security at TheChristianWorldview.orgThis weekend, we’ll discuss the recent Dallas Statement on Social Justice...

Eternal Security: Once Saved, Always Saved?
Send us a textThe last two weeks on the program, we have discussed discernment and apostasy. Discernment is the call for the believer to measure everything, especially spiritual teachers and their teaching, against the truth of Scripture, so that sound doctrine can be elevated and errant doctrine can be exposed and removed.Where discernment is not exercised, all manner of false teaching fills the vacuum, leading the church into apostasy, which is a departing or falling away from primary doctrines of the faith, such as the character and nature of God and the person and work of Jesus Christ...

TCW Minute: Beware Apostasy (Week of Sept. 3, 2018)
Send us a textWhat is apostasy? The Bible says, “in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons…” (1 Tim. 4:1)That’s apostasy—departing from primary doctrines of the faith, such as twisting the nature and character of God or the parson and work of Christ....

What Are The Four Steps Into Apostasy? Case Studies of Evangelicalism and Roman Catholicism

TCW Minute: Are you practicing discernment? (Week of Aug. 27, 2018)
Send us a textAre you practicing discernment? This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview. The apostle John said, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1).Do we really believe this, that there are many professing Christians sewing seeds of error that lead people away from the truth?Well, we’d better, because Satan relentlessly works to destroy the church and sound doctrine through subtle lies that deceive many. So let’s follow Paul’s exhortation to: “examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22).Hear more and preview a DVD on discernment at TheChristianWorldview.orgThis weekend, we’ll discuss four steps into apostasy.

TOPIC: Are You Practicing Discernment?
Send us a textDiscernment is the ability to distinguish between truth and error. It’s a sharp biblical worldview that follows Paul’s exhortation to “examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 [Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)] ).The mantra in the Evangelical church today is to “Keep it positive—we need to be known for what we’re for, not what we’re against.” This is error straight from hell and opens the door for all manner of false doctrines and false teachers to lead people away from God...
