John Vervaeke - Coming of Age Rituals pt. 1
John is a professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. In this talk, we discuss how ancient cultures and tribes had rituals, ceremonies and initiations into personhood that we have lost in modernity. We discuss the origins of these rituals, where they went and what the negative impacts of their void is on our mental wellbeing, our society and our familiies. There is a lot of very important stuff in this episode, and I hope you agree.

Parenting and Partying - Daniel Kazandjian
Daniel is a Stoic Philsopher and hosts a weekly 'Metagame Mastermind' at The Stoa. In this episode we talk about parenting, how our own upbringings were good, but flawed. We talk about creating a series of milestones in a child's life, with corresponding ceremonies that attempt to endow the child with the necessary knowledge, wisdom, guidance and love that will enable them to transition into the next level of personhood as they grow. We talk about how these ceremonies might look like parties and furthermore, how we party on my birthday and why. It's a rad look at how we can make more meaningful connections and growth through our parties with our friends. We also talk about Emotional Metabolism! How we process our human experiences and how important they are!

Andrew Taggart - What We've Lost
Andrew is a REAL philosopher; this will become clear very quickly in this episode. Andrew brings us his thoughts on three things; humanism (how we pinhole existence into the realm of human concerns and social interaction), Psyicalism (seeing the psyical world as all that exists, nothing more) and Secularism (the loss of divinity in existence, the view that the cosmos is actually just a cold, dark universe). This is a long episode, but it is one of the best episodes that I've recorded, thanks to the incredible and impressive coherence of Andrew's thinking and his articulation. Take this one in chunks, I had to!

Suicide and Communication - Matt Blank
Matt is a BASE Jumper and deep thinker. In this episode, he proposes the unlikely position that is essentially; "If you are going to jump off the bridge, at least let me come with you. At least share with me your thoughts before you go." This is an incredible shift from the typical response that is "Please dont do it! I beg you! You can't! Think of how sad your mom will be!". We also go really deep into the dynamics of communication that lead people to feel isolated emotionally and might even lead to their suicide - as well as the types of communication that might lead them away from the edge. We also talk about being enslaved by existence and how freeing of an act suicide really is, and how considering suicide might actually help people choose life. It's a crazy and powerful episode and the first one on which I actually cry. Its sad as fuck to think about how many millions of people think about, struggle with, attempt or succeed in killing themselves each year. Something is certainly broken here, my friends, and my heart breaks in response to it.

Gregg Henriques - The Tsunami of Mental Health
Gregg is a professor of Psychology at James Madison University in Virginia. He has done extensive work in an attempt to bring the disjointed field of psychology into coherence, and authored the book A New Unified Theory of Psychology. He's briliiant and wise and we've had 3, hour long conversations leading up to this one. In this talk, we explore my own experience with mental health lately, amidst Covid, lockdown, social media, racial riots, BLM and a hysterical online discourse. He has great insight and I'm sure this episode will help you understand how you've been feeling, or as gregg puts it, 'emotionally metabolize the present'.
Thanks for coming on, Gregg! Love you!

Jared Janes - Cancel Culture and Memetic Mediation
Jared is a podcaster, meditator and thinker. In this episode we talk about the cancel culture mob, how it feels to be chased and more. We also talk about Memetic Mediation - basically a term for getting people of varying ideologies to actually communicate with one another so we can avoid or remedy needless polarization. We also talk a bit about the individuated self vs the idea of unity or oneness. We briefly discuss his role as the producer of the Jim Rutt show. (Jim has been on my podcast twice, check it out)

Masculinity, Gender Relations and Friendship - Daniel Kazandjian
Daniel hosts the "Metagame Mastermind" at The Stoa. He's a deep philosophical thinker, an authentic relater and one of the best listeners that I've ever encountered. This episode is our first time ever talking, which is crazy considering how far we get. It is vulnerable and ernest; two traits that we agree need to be promoted in this time of transition. We talk about my own experience around feminism and gender relations, what I see/hear and what I think is missing or out of place. We talk about reinventing a new type of gender relations and what that might look and sound like. We talk about the importance of friendship, of brotherhood, of sisterhood, where they've gone and why.
This is an awesome episode and I really appreciate daniel for his time and his presence.
Find Daniel at The Stoa every Saturday @ 6pm EST for his Metagame Mastermind.

Jim Rutt #2 - Complexity and Paragliding
Jim is the Chairman of the Santa Fe Institute, a radiacally trans-disciplinary complexity research institute in New Mexico. So, asking him about complexity is quite fitting. He's been dealing with this conversation for a long time and has some really interesting opinions on it. But it goes deeper, cause this episode mashes together Jim's scientific understanding of complexity with my own embodied experiences with complexity in my sports like paragliding, where I'm trying to understand and function in something as complex as the living atmosphere, and highlining, where my body is taking the reigns and is doing all of the complex computations that allow it to balance on a skinny, wobbly, mile-long rope! This episode is AWESOME! Thanks so much to Jim Rutt for being an OG in the Game B space and for being so fun to talk to. He's like the uncle I never had! lol

Dr. Zak Stein - Generational Warfare & Social Media
Zak is an educational philosopher and writer. His book, Education in a Time Between Worlds is profetic and profound. In this episode, Zak lays out what he sees happening in America; between BLM, ineffective protests, the generational warfare between the boomers and the millennials, how social media is driving us insane and will kill thousands of youth through suicide and so much more. It's a sober and terrifying episode that connects so many of the distant dots floating around right now.

Latest Thoughts about Black Lives Matter and America (Livecast 6/09/2020)
I, like most of you, have had so many thoughts and feelings surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement, yet none of them are regarding the validity of those words. So much other stuff has come up with it; white privilege and guilt, police brutality, hysteria, group think, virtue signaling, 'systemic' everything, "White silence is violence", voting for trump making you a racist, breakdown of decency and discourse, cognitive errors, slander, hubris, self righteousness, backwards mantras, Martin Luther king, mother Theresa, nelson Mandela, riots, protests, defunding the police, and so much more.
I dive in here, hesitantly, and with all the humility I can muster. (An amount that I hope is growing in me) I hope you'll listen with the Omega principle, that you'll give me the benefit of the doubt. We gotta stay in right relationship with one another if we're to make any kind of progress here.
