How a Welsh Farmer Diversified into Water and Made £50 Million Turnover with William Watkins
Welcome to Episode #304, with William Watkins, Founder of Radnor Hills. William grew up on his family farm in Mid Wales, after studying Food Marketing at Newcastle University. On his return to the farm William put in place his plan to capitalise on the natural spring water from an aquifer below the farmland, and launched Radnor Hills Mineral Water Company. Thirty years later following many ups and downs the Company now runs 8 production lines filling well over 300 million units of soft drinks a year. Radnor is currently the only production site in the world to have the capability of bottling in glass, plastic, can and TETRA on one site.
