Night of the Living Dead (1990) Review
Night of the Living Dead (1990) synopsis: “When the unburied dead return to life and seek human victims, seven refugees seek shelter in a house in the Pennsylvanian countryside, but the group is at odds as to how they should deal with the situation.”Starring: Tony Todd, Patricia Tallman, Tom Towles, and Bill MoseleyDirector: Tom SaviniThis week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey review Tom Savini’s Night of the Living Dead (1990) remake! Co-host Corey saw this movie in the theater when he was twelve years old and he was equal parts terrified and fascinated! It’s also one of the movies he watches every October to get in the Halloween spirit. Needless to say, Corey has a lot of enthusiasm for Night of the Living Dead (1990) as he showruns the breakdown lol! While co-host Zak also saw it in the theater when it originally came out, this version of George Romero’s classic tale didn’t get quite as much replay in his youth. The two perspectives lead the duo down some interesting conversational paths, as per usual on this podcast. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy our review of Night of the Living Dead (1990)!As always, leave a message on Patreon or social media and let us know what you think of the episode!— SUPPORT PODCASTING AFTER DARK —PATREON - Two extra shows a month, including our celebrity interview series, plus videos and other exclusive content!MERCH STORE - We have a fully dedicated merch store at TeePublic with multiple designs and products!INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / LETTERBOXD - Follow us on social media for updates and announcements! This podcast is part of the BFOP Network

One Dark Night (1982) Review
One Dark Night (1982) synopsis: “As part of an initiation into a club called the Sisters, a young girl must spend the night in a mausoleum.”Starring: Meg Tilly, Robin Evans, Leslie Speights, and Melissa NewmanDirector: Tom McLoughlinIt took awhile but we’re finally getting to Zak’s much discussed PG horror movie, One Dark Night (1982)! As mentioned in the episode, we were supposed to review it last year closer to our review of The Car (which was Corey’s PG horror pick) but thanks to a post office snafu the package didn’t show up until almost a year later lol. Better late than never, right? That was Corey’s feelings about One Dark Night, a film he had never even heard of until Zak brought it to the show, but now he friggin loves it! And how could you not? It’s essentially a “What If?… Professor X was evil” horror story. Way ahead of its time and, we’re happy to report, still holds up well in 2021! If you haven’t seen One Dark Night we highly recommend watching it as soon as possible. It has an awesomely spooky vibe and makes for a great Halloween flick! As always, leave a message on Patreon or social media and let us know what you think of the episode!— SUPPORT PODCASTING AFTER DARK —PATREON - Two extra shows a month, including our celebrity interview series, plus videos and other exclusive content!MERCH STORE - We have a fully dedicated merch store at TeePublic with multiple designs and products!INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / LETTERBOXD - Follow us on social media for updates and announcements! This podcast is part of the BFOP Network

David Cronenberg's Shivers (1975) Review
The Shivers (1975) synopsis: “The residents of a suburban high-rise apartment building are being infected by a strain of parasites that turn them into mindless, sex-crazed fiends out to infect others by the slightest sexual contact.”Starring: Paul Hampton, Joe Silver, Lynn Lowry, and Allan KolmanDirector: David CronenbergHoly shiv! This week on Podcasting After Dark we are reviewing David Cronenberg’s first major motion picture, Shivers! This is the second part in co-host Corey’s series of movies he discovered during the 2020 quarantine (The Burning being the previous film). If you are a fan of David Cronenberg’s later work then you’re probably familiar with the themes he likes to explore: sex and body horror. If, on the other hand, this is your first foray into uncharted territory then brace yourself, we touch on a lot of taboo subjects as we break this movie down scene by scene. I mean, you have to. You can’t talk about Cronenberg without being a little taboo.
