G. Alan Long, CPA, CITP, CGMA, is the managing member of Baldwin. Alan received his accounting degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1979 and was certified in 1981. His service to the profession includes  having been President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Kentucky Society of CPAs, chair of the Education Foundation of the KYCPA, a member of the Peer Review Board and Leadership Council of the AICPA, a member of the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA, a member of the Compliance Assurance Committee for NASBA, as well as a member of the Kentucky State Board of Accountancy. Alan is an Instructor for Continuing Education Classes for the AICPA. He received the 2005 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the School of Business & Technology at Eastern Kentucky University. Alan and his wife Teresa reside in Richmond, Ky.

Louie made the leap towards entrepreneurship and started his own firm in January of 2016. Louie's firm primarily works with individuals and small to medium sized business owners nationwide, where he helps business owners and individuals get in control of their finances and taxes. Louie has been able to utilize social media to build his business and is now starting to teach aspiring business owners and entrepreneurs how to build and grow their own business. Louie has 6 years of experience working as an accountant in both the public and private sector. Louie resides in Bellflower, CA, with his wife, Miranda, and his three dogs. Jody has a well-rounded professional background with experience in both public and corporate accounting. He developed a broad base knowledge at two regional accounting firms: (1) Crowe Chizek and Company and (2) Geo S. Olive (now BKD). His public accounting background was further enhanced with his corporate experience. Jody worked as the tax manager for a $250 million international, multi-state, manufacturing company, Rea Magnet Wire Company, Inc. While at Rea Magnet Wire Company, Jody stood before the Taxation and Revenue Department of the State of New Mexico and won an appeal for a $300,000 Investment Credit that was earlier denied by the department. The appeal was a Published Decision.

I started in accounting back in 1991, when it just kind of found me. I continued working for other companies for quite a few years, keeping records, preparing reports, payroll (you know, all the fun stuff), but also helping develop new policies, procedures and software implementations. I took night classes at SAIT, going for my Diploma in Business Administration with an Accounting major, where I graduated with honors in 2008. I established Bottom Line Bookkeeping a year later, giving me a place where I could work towards my personal vision of how bookkeeping should be done. I've always been a bit of a technology junkie, always wanting the latest and greatest, and I could really see the potential for technology to change the way bookkeeping and accounting were approached. What I love best about this field is solving problems for my clients. I believe in a transparent, collaborative approach to accounting, which helps me identify individual problems they're facing and work together to find a solution. Where old school accounting really just comes down to recording history, I try to take a more proactive approach, working closely with clients to develop complete business solutions. Making it easy for clients to "set it and forget it" allows them to focus on what they do best, while I do what I do best.
