#412: Top Five Things You Didn't Notice About the Sound of Music
In this video, podcaster and media analyst Patrick Coffin uncovers some surprising facts about the 1965 smash hit musical The Sound of Music, and explains why singer actress Gwen Stefani should play Maria in a remake. * Julie Andrews was knocked flat several times by the helicopter downdraft while filming the iconic opening scene. • Christopher Plummer thought the film was overly sentimental, nicknaming it The Sound of Mucus—and he filmed the Salzburg Music Festival finale tipsy. • Why the title The Sound of Music makes perfect sense once you know the backstory. • “Edelweiss” is not Austria’s national anthem—it was penned by Oscar Hammerstein in New York specifically for the movie. • Patrick’s dream-casting for a remake: Gwen Stefani as Maria and Blake Shelton as Captain Von Trapp. Join the True North Movement for truth, faith, and community: www.patrickcoffin.media

#410: The Most Clear Explanation of the Eucharist
🌐 Join our community at: www.patrickcoffin.media 🧭 Walk with others who are not afraid to say the Eucharist is the beating heart of Christianity. 🔹 Video Summary: In this essential teaching video, Patrick Coffin delivers the clearest and most compelling explanation of the Eucharist—what the Catholic Church rightly calls the “source and summit of the Christian life.” Drawing from Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the lived experience of the Church, Patrick lays out why the Eucharist is not a mere symbol, but the Real Presence: the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. 🕊️ What You’ll Learn: 📖 Biblical Foundations of the Eucharist: Luke 22 & Matthew 26: Jesus’ words at the Last Supper—“This is My Body…This is My Blood”—aren’t metaphorical; they are sacramental and literal. John 6: Bread of Life Discourse: Jesus insists multiple times on the need to “eat My flesh and drink My blood”—so clearly literal that many of His disciples walked away. 1 Corinthians 10–11: St. Paul warns the early Church that unworthy reception of the Eucharist is a sin “against the Body and Blood of the Lord.” 🕎 Old Testament Fulfillments: The Passover lamb: Jesus is the Lamb of God whose sacrifice must be eaten, not just remembered. Manna in the desert: Foreshadows the true Bread from Heaven, which is Christ Himself. Melchizedek’s offering of bread and wine: A prefigurement of the Eucharistic sacrifice. 🔄 Refuting Protestant Misunderstandings: Protestant objections—such as the Eucharist being “just a symbol”—are rooted in a modern and reductive reading of Scripture. Patrick unpacks how sola scriptura leads to confusion and how early Church Fathers like St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Justin Martyr, and St. Cyril of Jerusalem believed in the Real Presence. He also reveals how Lutheran and Calvinist compromises still miss the heart of Christ’s eucharistic love. 💬 Quotes to Remember: “The Eucharist is not a snack. It’s a Sacrifice.” “If Jesus meant to say ‘symbol,’ He chose the most confusing way to say it.” 🙏 Why This Doctrine Matters: The Eucharist is Jesus’ self-donation, making present His once-for-all sacrifice on the Cross. It is the most intimate communion we can have with God this side of Heaven. Understanding and revering the Eucharist leads to a life of discipleship, humility, and mission. 🔔 👉 If this video deepened your love and understanding of the Eucharist, join us inside the True North Movement—a growing community of Catholics and seekers who are committed to truth, clarity, and courage.

From the Communist Party of China to the shadowy networks behind the New World Order, Dr. Breggin pulls no punches in naming the enemies of truth, freedom, and mental health. 🧵 Key Topics and Takeaways: 🌐 The Four Empires That Threaten Us: The Chinese Communist Party: Exporting authoritarianism, surveillance, and digital tyranny. The Russian State: Reasserting influence through destabilization and strategic propaganda. The New World Order: A technocratic alliance of corporate, banking, and bureaucratic elites aiming for centralized global control. Radical Islam: Waging a cultural and ideological war against the Christian West under the guise of religious justice. 🧠 Mental Health and Perception of Reality: True mental health begins with the ability to see reality as it is, not as it’s manipulated to appear. Mass formation psychosis and propaganda have not only eroded critical thinking and self-governance, but shifted the blame away from the actual globalist perpetrators. Psychiatry has been hijacked by political and pharmaceutical interests, distorting its healing purpose. 📜 America's Founding Ideals at Risk: Love of neighbor, pursuit of justice, and individual liberty—found in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution—are directly threatened by collectivist and authoritarian forces. The erosion of truth leads to the erosion of freedom. 🧭 Call to Discernment and Courage: We must be vigilant and spiritually awake to these empires. #405: Trump Deflects Away from the Butler, PA, Shooting Event
Watch The Extended Uncensored Version Of this Episode in The True North Movement https://www.patrickcoffin.media/the-true-north-movement/ If you would like to grow in your ability to spot false narratives and to expose media deception, consider joining the True North movement: more faith, more reason, more enjoyment: www.patrickcoffin.media Ex-president Donald Trump finally sat down with Joe Rogan for an interview on October 25, and what a study in strangeness it was. Clocking in at three hours long, it was not only a marathon but it was a disjointed and rambling exchange despite Rogan's efforts at trying to keep Mr. Trump on track. The stand-out moment was when Rogan asked him about what everyone calls the assassination attempt in Butler, PA, on July 13, 2024. Trump started one sentence, began another, pointed to two different areas of his ear, and stumbled through his standard narrative (“there was so much blood,” “I knew I was shot through the ear” “the Secret Service were terrific” etc) but really didn’t give Rogan a close look at his right here, to which Rogan sardonically replies, “it looks pretty f*cking pristine.” Observations in this video: Donald Trump has incredible physical stamina for a 78-year-old Trump almost never speaks in full sentences, always phrases and clauses We hear many times that Trump’s generals defeated the entire ISIS caliphate Trump is “interested in abolishing federal income tax” with no particular strategy Rogan asks him about when he switched from Dem to GOP and he said, “the early 90s,” except that Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987 and has switched party affiliation five times since. In 1999, he switched to the Independence Party of New York, then in August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democrat; then in September 2009, he changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). But in April 2012, he again returned to the Republican Party. When asked about the Butler PA event, Trump points his finger to two different places on his right ear and interrupts himself all over the place he says “it was a Top Shot” then he says it “I got zicked right here”.... and really does not show Joe Rogan his ear for more than one second. Strange features of the Butler event: 1) why was Trump allowed to stand straight up —even though loosely surrounded by agents— five seconds after the gun sounds stopped? "They were told the shooter was neutralized." Really? Ever hear of "more than one shooter?" 2) the photo of the bullet zinging by by Mr. Trump's head would only be visible if the shutter speed were set to at a very high shutter speed. So the photographer seemed to be either ready for a bullet capture or an exploding head. 3) The photographer's name? Doug Mills of the NYT...the very same fellow who took the pic of Andy Card whispering into Dubya's ear in that classroom on 9/11. What are the odds? 4) In the readymade, edited and published statement less than 90 minutes after getting shot in the ear by a long rifle, Trumps stated "a bullet was shot through my ear." His words. Two days later, Eric Trump tweeted that no stitches were needed. After the bandage was removed, all pics and video since show a pristine right ear. Odd. 5) In his RCS speech, Mr. Trump described all the blood on his hand with which he touched his ear. Yet, the live feed footage and all the still pics show zero blood on his right hand. Strange thing to get wrong. 6) I could fall down hundreds of times and my shoes would never fall off. Yet, Trump's did. He's on the hot mike asking to put his shoes back on. Bizarre. 7) The perfect "Iwo Jimaesque" photo of Trump with his defiant fist in the air, rivulets of blood on his face, and Old Glory fluttering gloriously in the background looks what some have called staged. Just noticing things and asking questions. 8) Why are only two three cell phone clips available to the public when you can see many hundreds of cell phones held up filming? 9) We are only allowed to see a small handful of "eyewitnesses" -- one a BBC interviewer talking to a MAGA guy in a beard and red visor. He was parroting the same thing the legacy media said a million times since, and we never learn his name. (There were similar blue collar "eye-witnesses" on the morning of 9/11 "expertly" describing jet fuel melting the steel infrastructures of the towers.) 10) To this day we still know next to zero about this 20-year-old nerd "Thomas Crooks" except that he was in a Black Rock tv commercial. FInal thought: how do you explain the massive audience size for this disjointed except that it validates Marshall McLean's dictum that “the medium is the message;” namely, you don't need to say coherent things so much as you just need to have interesting people: Joe Rogan the top podcaster and former president Trump, probably the most recognizable face in the world

#404: How The Absence Of Prayer Brings Chaos And Misery
In this episode of The Patrick Coffin Show, mystical theologian David Torkington discusses the urgent need for a return to prayer in today's fast-paced world in an upsidedown Catholic Church. We’re all screwed up because we have forgotten how to pray.” That’s the basic gist of this conversation with a master of prayer and meditation. Drawing on themes from his new book Passport to Perfection (Essentialist Press) Torkington points out the biblical and apostolic roots of contemplative prayer, while exposing the faux versions so popular today. David, at 85 years young, reflects on his journey as a whistleblowing priest, a role that brought him both challenges and clarity to his priesthood as a Franciscan and as a Catholic. He also opens up about overcoming severe dyslexia, sharing how his condition shaped his spiritual life and the development of his theological insights. His message, delivered in his lovely English country gentleman accent, makes real the ideal of recovered hope and a deepened love for God. He says the key is to reconnect with God through persistent and authentic prayer. This conversation sheds light on both the struggles and triumphs that have defined Torkington’s unique spiritual path, making his story both moving and practical: the way of the saints. Topics covered in this episode: David’s earliest memories of wanting to pray His decades-long suffering with severe and undiagnosed dyslexia His call to the priesthood as a Franciscan The punishment that ensued when he blew the whistle on priests and superiors who were living perverse double lives Precisely what’s wrong with “centering prayer” and why the writings of Thomas Merton are suspect The many examples of God asking impossible things in the New Testament His free online course on prayer Resources mentioned in this episode: Website of David Torkington’s work www.essentialistpress.com His website www.davidtorkington.com

#403: Is Elon Musk the Antichrist?
Watch The Extended Uncensored Version Of this Episode in The True North Movement https://www.patrickcoffin.media/the-true-north-movement/ The Antichrist is all the rage nowadays. In this video, author and host Patrick Coffin breaks down the biblical and traditional portraits of the Antichrist, and separates fact from fiction. Since the 1970s in movies like “The Omen,” Hollywood has tried to artistically portray the Antichrist but almost always gets it wrong while over-dramatizing, yet paradoxically underestimating the evil involved. Topics covered in this episode: - The recent historical context for interest in the Antichrist - The four places in the Bible where he is explicitly mentioned: 1 John 2:11; John 2:22, 1 John 4:3; 2 John 1:7. - Examples of cultural and societal disruption and increased sense of evil and danger - How the Conclave that resulted in the appearance of Jorge Mario Bergoglio is part of that disruption - The three modes of antichrist: any spirit that denies the Incarnation; prototypes in history of the Antichrist; and the appearance of the real thing just before Christ returns. - The qualities of the Antichrist in Scripture compared to the background and the behavior and aims of Elon Musk Resources mentioned in this episode: Letter of Adso to Queen Gerberga Concerning the Origin and Life of Antichrist https://www.tha.de/~harsch/Chronologia/Lspost10/Adso/Letter%20of%20Adso%20to%20Queen%20Gerberga%20Concerning.htm A Story Of Anti-Christ https://amzn.to/3Yh9CK3 by Vladimir Sergaevitch Soloviev Full 1947 radio address on the Antichrist by Bishop Fulton Sheenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=-ScNW0M5zBM
