205 - The Ghost of Harrenhal

Jim and A.Ron re-watched Game of Thrones episode “The Ghost of Harrenhal”, break it’s neck, and throw it off a parapet. Just kidding, but we do bite into it like Jaqen into an apple. We discuss tortured metaphors, Brienne’s rushing into commitments, Stannis’ reluctance to face The Truth, and Arya’s fun and exciting new friends at Harrenhal. All this and a bunch of interesting feedback, and a lore and history packed SpoiLore section!By the way, we have an archive of Tinfoil SpoiLore archive of previous podcasts by topic. Each link has a time code listed so you can jump right to the tinfoil topic of the week for your convenience and listening pleasure, in case you want to read up on more in depth theories and analysis.Leave Us A ReviewJoin the discussion: Email | Forums | Facebook | TwitterTheme song: Game of Thrones (80’s TV Theme) by Highway Superstar Learn more about your ad choices. 204 - Garden of Bones

Jim and A.Ron re-watch episode 204 of HBO’s Game of Thrones series, “Garden of Bones”, and mine a rich vein of almost forgotten Peak Tyrion. We also got gummed up with a clumsy arrival of Daenerys at the great city of Qarth, and Jim can’t take Lancel seriously, and we’re both really bummed out about the arrival of this season’s re-cast “Mountain”, but the arrival of the fantastic Papa Lannister single-handedly makes up for all of it. Another great season 2 episode, is what we’re saying, and we have some terrific feedback to go along with it.We also talk spoilers at the very end, so if you haven’t caught up with the latest on the show or books you might want to skip that. Need to catch up? Here’s a Tinfoil SpoiLore archive of previous podcasts by topic. 203 - What is Dead May Never Die

Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch campaign of HBO’s Game of Thrones with “What is Dead May Never Die”. There is some really strong stuff in here; Tyrion’s canary trap for the Small Council, the heroic and badass last stand of Yoren, the introduction of two fantastic new characters in the forms of Brienne of Tarth and Margary Tyrell. But there is also some less fun stuff; like anything to do with Shae. But all in all a great episode despite not featuring Dany or Robb. All this discussion, plus a healthy heaping of feedback ahead!Check out this FX breakdown reel from Iloura. Warning! Spoilers for season 7!!Leave Us A ReviewJoin the discussion: Email | Forums | Facebook | TwitterTheme song: Game of Thrones (80’s TV Theme) by Highway Superstar Learn more about your ad choices. 202 - The Night Lands

A.Ron and Jim continue their re-watch of season two of HBO’s Game of Thrones with “The Night Lands”. On this podcast, we discuss the opposite of a headless horsemen, Tyrion’s tragic flaws, Theon’s ignorance of his personal history and that of his people, the Iron Islanders, and the moral quandary of the Night’s Watch. Also, A.Ron apologizes for muffing up the White Raven lore from the previous podcast. All this and tons of feedback coming your way!If you want to check out that Varys theory I mention in the SpoiLore section of the podcat, check out our  Tinfoil SpoiLore archive of previous podcasts by topic. 707 - The Dragon and the Wolf

Jim and A.Ron develop their thoughts on the season finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “The Lion and the Wolf”. Many were pleased, yet there are some lingering resentments. We try to talk through why we thought Cersei’s scheming, Sansa and Arya’s collaboration, and the Night King’s ultimate plan to cross the wall made a lot of sense both from a plot and character standpoint, but we definitely leave room for people who have trouble looking past how we arrived there. In the end, we both agree that the series is set for a thrilling and satisfying conclusion, and the DD’s have nearly twice the time to develop it. Will they succeed? Can Martin eventually do better? Join us next week as we wrap up our Season 7 coverage and try to answer these questions and more. And don’t forget Friday, as we delve into the deeper meanings and book implications for the events of this season! See you then. This podcast is sponsored by BombFell, where you can get clothes hand-picked by a stylist to fit your life. Head over to bombfell.com/got to get $25 off your first order! This podcast is also sponsored by Sonos, Home theater for music – and podcast! – lovers. For the first time ever, Sonos is offering the listeners of GOT, ten percent off one order of twenty five hundred dollars or less, for any product on Sonos.com.
