In 1966 the United States Air Force funded a group of scientists working at the University of Colorado to perform an in-depth review of Project Blue Book. In addition to examining the UFO files provided by the U.S. military and civilian UFO groups, the scientists also investigated reports that took place during their 2 year review. One of the cases that caught their attention was the report of a 22-year old police sergeant who, after his encounter with a UFO along highway 63 near Ashland, Nebraska, experienced numerous symptoms often associated with alien abductions. In J. Allen Hynek’s 1972 book The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry , UFO and extraterrestrial encounters were classified into 3 distinct categories. Beyond this original classification by the head of the Air Force’s Project: Blue Book , other scientists following in Hynek’s footsteps would later add an additional four categories. Within these additional classifications you have what are deemed “Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind”. These experiences are characterized by humans being physically abducted by extraterrestrials. Some scientists argue this category should also include experiences where the witness has their reality transformed. Perhaps a near perfect example of this type of encounter would be the events that took place in 1967 in the town of South Ashburnham, Massachusetts. A case that was marked with such “high strangeness” that J. Allen Hynek had declined to interview the witness. In 2018, Twitter identified nearly 4000 accounts associated with a single Russian owned company which were responsible for close to 176,000 tweets in the 10 weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election. That same company was spotlighted in the official “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Elections” released by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2019. The investigation revealed that the company had paid employees, referred to as “specialists”, that were responsible for posing as U.S. citizens and political activist groups on English speaking social media platforms. When posing as individuals their goal seemed to be weaving Pro-Russia propaganda and disinformation into seemingly non-political ponderings of your everyday citizen. This company has been linked to spoof-websites that try to pose as credible news sources and sources of information in order to spread stories that are either false or misleading and aimed at widening divisions within the geo-political landscape of not only the U.S. but around the world as well. 1991 was a wild year. The Gulf War, the release of the video of the arrest and beating of Rodney King, The Warsaw Pact was dissolved, South Africa ended Apaetheid, and Ukraine celebrated its first independence day. All of these events preceded the American late summer August radio debut of the song “Smells like teen spirit”. In 1972 well-known paranormal researcher Ivan T. Sanderson published an article examining what he called “The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around The World”. Areas historically known for unexplained phenomenon and mysterious disappearances. This list included the infamous Bermuda Triangle, The Devil’s Sea, and the North and South Poles. There is no shortage of strange tales and sinister stories when it comes to the bleak and dreary locations of lighthouses. Before the creation of the 5th age, in which we live, the world had already been destroyed four times over. The first had been devoured by jaguars sent by god Tezcatlipoca after he was struck from the sky by his brother Quetzacoatl.
