This week, Catherine and Donald take you to business town. You may think that a S.W.O.T. analysis is a deep dive into the 1970’s TV show with the super catchy theme song, but that’s actually a S.W.A.T. analysis. According to the internet, A S.W.O.T. analysis is “a strategic planning technique used to help a person or organization identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats related to business competition or project planning.” Catherine and Donald teach you that the business is weight-loss and the project is YOU! The Tip Of the Week (TOW!) is to mindfully disobey your own rules. The Product of the Week (POW!) is Halloween Candy that you don’t really like. Okay, you caught us; maybe it’s really two tips this week. Episode 90 – Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys
Don’t confuse generosity with generosity. Do you think you’re an unappreciated super-hero? Many times in life we feel like we have the weight of the world on our shoulders. We’ll tell ourselves, “if I don’t do it, then no one will”. This week Catherine and Donald talk about hero complexes and how they lead to overeating. We use food as a reward for being exhausted, overwhelmed, and under appreciated. Eventually, trying to take on everyone else’s problems is detrimental to your own mental and physical health. You won’t be able to take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself and the real truth is that you might be doing it to avoid your own problems. The Tip of The Week (TOW!) is to set your scale to kilograms. The Product of the Week (POW!) is a yoga mat. Plus, Donald mentions prime China White for some reason, Catherine doesn’t care what’s “on fleek”, and you learn that both pierogies and monkeys are delicious. We think that just by joining the club or buying the gear that we’ll successfully lose the weight. We often confuse motion for action and we research and prepare instead of actually doing something. Just being at the library doesn’t mean you’re reading. The Tip of the Week (TOW!) is to save up for one really nice indulgence instead of a bunch of smaller ones. The Product of the Week (POW!) is TSA Pre-check and yes, it relates to weight loss. Plus, Catherine and Donald are persons of interest, Webster’s Dictionary does not include the Borg Collective. and if I’m eating a salad, “come at me bro”.
