It’s never too late to have a new beginning

I get a lot of questions from people in their 40s and 50s who are concerned that they have made some wrong choices and are now doomed to live out lives without meaning, purpose and profits. If you see the early years of your education and career as times of learning and testing and clarification you can then move into the most enjoyable and productive season of your life - regardless of how old you are today. Episode #912 July 21, 2023Questions: 1. I am 54 years old and still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. 2. I’m making money doing what I don’t love and what I do love isn’t making any money. Which should I quit? 3. I am a 53 year old college drop out who left school for all the right reasons at 20 years old to help my mom and siblings. 4. My business is making significant money but I’m embarrassed about the work I do.Get direct links to the resources mentioned in this podcast in the podcast show notes at https://www.48days.com/never-too-late/

I don’t even dream anymore

Episode #910 - July 14, 2023 In coaching people going through change, I am often struck by their discouragement, frustration, and resentment. I have come to recognize, however, that those feelings reveal that the person is looking backward—at something that has already occurred. As soon as we are able to create a clear plan for the future, those feelings dissipate and are replaced by hope, optimism, and enthusiasm. In all my years of coaching, I have never seen a person who has a clear plan and goals for the future who is also depressed. They just don’t go together.Questions: 1. I don't even dream anymore. 2. How can I make plans for the future if I am depressed? 3. Will I come into money in the Future? 4. Do you still stay in touch with the man who loaned you the mercury zephyr years ago? Find direct links to the resources mentioned on this podcast in the podcast show notes at https://www.48days.com/depressed-and-no-dreams/
