Alexee Trevizo allegedly dumped her newborn in the trash after giving birth in the bathroom of a New Mexico hospital in January 2023. Trevizo is charged with first-degree murder, or alternatively abusing a child resulting in death and tampering with evidence. Her defense won a legal battle to prevent some of the evidence from being presented to a jury in her trial. Prosecutors are now fighting back, claiming the evidence is key and should not be suppressed based on patient-physician privilege. More than two years after a gun held by actor Alec Baldwin went off on the New Mexico set of the film “Rust,” Baldwin is preparing for his manslaughter trial.
