On this episode of the Niche Pursuits podcast, we interview Laura Roeder. Laura is the founder of Meet Edgar, a social media success tool that has grown rapidly. She is also the founder of a new software tool called Paper Bell, a scheduling and payments software for coaches.  What do you do when you have an extremely successful SaaS business that's doing multiple millions per year in annual recurring revenue (ARR), but then you have a new idea for a software tool? Do you then go and build that software tool? I really enjoyed this discussion with Laura, not only because she is a multiple product SaaS founder, but also because she gives some really actionable advice as she shares her story.

Andy Humphrey, aka 'the Sprinkler Nerd,' is our guest on the Niche Pursuits podcast this week. He owns and operates SprinklerSupplyStore.com, an e-commerce business doing over $1 million in sales on Amazon, and multiple times this through their own website. He has started many e-commerce stores, beginning with his Christmas lights store 'Super Twinkle' all the way back in 2004. Andy has almost 20 years of experience doing e-commerce, so he's a wealth of information and advice. He was even one of the entrepreneurs on the second season of Shark Tank while looking for funding for his eco mower project! This interview is great for anyone who is selling (or wants to sell) products online, and for everyone else with an interest in online business.

This week on the podcast Jake Cain is interviewing Austin Tuwiner. Austin is a marketer who dropped out of college at 19 to pursue online business. He wanted to focus on his niche site in the crypto space. He had bought the domain, which had many great backlinks, in a private deal, and grew it to an estimated 150K traffic per month (Ahrefs). He has since sold this site and is now working on another in the scuba diving niche. He is also bootstrapping an affiliate marketing SaaS tool called Afflytics, which is perhaps his main focus right now. Jake and Austin cover a lot of ground in this podcast, but the theme throughout is affiliate marketing! There are some excellent tips and strategies on how you can grow your niche site and increase your earnings - even with Amazon Associates!

David Finberg was first introduced to computers by his dad at age 6 before the internet was really a thing. However, it wasn't long after this that he started building websites for friends and family and made his first dollar online. At age 9, he put together a website for his grandfather and made $20! He's come a long way since then and is now the founder and CEO of Peaks Digital Marketing, an agency focused on content marketing, web design, and SEO. Dave joins Jake Cain on the podcast to share his story.

Today I have a great interview with two people that are experts at link building. Eric Carroll and Sebastian Shaffer from the link building agency dofollow.io. They have been part of the niche and affiliate website community for many years now, and their agency specializes in building links to these types of sites. Both Eric and Sebastian own and run affiliate sites, so they know what site owners are looking for and how to run successful campaigns. They have owned and run the agency since 2017, have a ton of experience, and an interesting background. One that is related to Niche Pursuits – but you’ll have to listen to find out what!

In today's episode, I interview Sean Markey and we discuss everything expired domains: how to find them, how to flip, and how to build successful sites using aged domains. He has been on quite the journey including selling a CBD affiliate site in the high 6-figures and much more.

We cover Travis's 13-year entrepreneurial background, which includes: Ecommerce companies An SEO agency A domain flipping service Angel investing and more Travis obviously has a diverse background and experience in a range of online business and investing circles. 

It's great to have Richmond Howard on the podcast this week. Rich has found a way to successfully grow his niche sites all while working full time as a pastor, studying for a master's degree, and being a husband and new dad! 3 or 4 years ago he was in a job that he hated and was looking for something new. He heard about blogging and affiliate marketing through listening to podcasts and decided to give it a go. He started a finance blog and worked half-heartedly on that for a couple of years, but it didn't really come to much. However, there were a couple of posts he'd put together on meal prepping that were ranking really well. After investigating the meal prepping niche further he saw a lot of opportunities and decided to start a site dedicated to that instead. He moved those successful posts from the finance blog in August 2019 to his new site mealprepify.com. He doubled down on content and links and now this site is making over $6K per month. In January 2021, traffic was at 140,000. Pretty incredible! In mid-2020, Rich made a move that really helped to fuel this growth. He bought a site from Motion Invest that was making around $600 per month. This site was in the same or similar niche as Meal Prepify and had about 150 articles on it.
