So You’re Living In A Simulation

As we wait with bated breathe the results of the 2020 election I want to muse about the 49% of America who voted for Trump even after everything. Are they all “deplorables?” It would be easy to label them as such but I don’t think so. We need to look closer and ask ourselves what sort of system even gave us these choices in the first place: a career politician or a crooked businessman wasn’t really a choice. If you voted you did your duty as a citizen. You are not the problem. The people who gave us these choices are. They say the system is broken. Is it really? Or is it working precisely as intended? If the masses are fighting against themselves they will never be able to unite and come together to affect real change. The media on both sides have done a great job fuelling dissent and division. Left wing, right wing, wings don’t flap themselves. Who controls the bird?

We always ask why people throughout history saw evil occurring and did nothing, thus allowing evil to prevail. We can learn from history; we can keep history from repeating itself and do something. We can delegitimise the Hate Monger In Chief while setting a precedence for other countries and the our youth. All of this can be accomplished simply filling out our ballot and voting in DROVES. Let’s do this, America! This is an appeal to the better angels of our nature.

In this thought provoking episode, we discuss whether or not the Bible actual describes a creator god or a flawed, technologically advanced humanoid terraforming a world that already had contained within it signs of life. Perhaps the Gnostics were onto something. We will also discuss the only thing the Bible says separates the gods from mankind.

Imagine (theoretically) that mankind never actually left Eden. Imagine the forbidden apple was actually a hallucinogen that poisoned our minds and caused us to only see the imperfections in our surroundings. Imagined it caused us to criticise/condemn ourselves into believing we have some how “fallen” from grace. Hell is a frame of mind, not a physical plane, and a poisoned mind can turn paradise into a prison. We came to this world naked and wild and were taught to feel shame. As a result, we attempt to distract from our feelings of inadequacy caused by imposed expectations of unattainable perfection, by condemning and criticising others. What if we never left Eden? Could we ever learn to be comfortable in our proverbial nakedness?

Discussing Trump’s hospitalization, seeing doppels from parallel worlds, communicating with your future self and learning from a place of observation rather than judgement.

Delving in a little deeper into the ideas, mores and norms that influence our subconscious and unknowingly drive our behaviour. Mores and norms control the majority of our actions from the way we dress, to the people you date, even to the amount of times we feel we should be having sex. This episode calls for the examination of what truly drives our lives. After all, an unexamined subconscious is a certain kind of slavery.

Our whole life is controlled by your fear of what others think, managing others perceptions and expectations of you or trying to please and impress others. Our religions, morals and ethics are a construct of the thought processes of strangers thousands of years ago controlling your life now. Is your entire life built on a foundation of other people’s thoughts?

If I took an eternal and pure entity who was all awareness and consciousness, and I bound them to an imperfect, decaying form saddled with ego as master, doesn’t that make me a corrupter of said entity? This and other insights gleaned during the break. As always; thank you for listening.

As we watch more of Earth-Season 2020 unfold, I’m left asking: ‘who’s writing this sh*t?” Honestly. The repeating plot line of yet another case of police brutality-less than a month after WORLDWIDE protests, a president so villainous as to almost be cartoonish, lacking zero character development or a character arc, and the continued politicizing of an actual pandemic. 2020 continues to play out like badly written fiction. It all seems too bad to be true and maybe perhaps it is.
