Class Warfare, Critical Thinking.
Corporations are not your friends. Big tech is not your friend. Multi-billionaires are not your friend. Big Pharma is not your friend. When the news reports that people like Bezos and Zuckerberg have doubled their wealth during the pandemic while the populace suffers, pause and ask yourself how and why. The 1% likes to say we are “all in this together,” but that’s not exactly true.
While Amazon, Facebook etc are raking it in, Local Businesses are shuttered, people are taking to the streets in protest while others see no other option but to continue to operate, risking infection, fines and imprisonment in order to survive. It’s easy to point fingers of criticism at your fellow man, but an excercise in empathy might be worth considering. Start with why.
Why are the common people so angry? Why are so many willing to risk so much to continue to work? How would you react if you feared losing everything you own and have worked for? If you didn’t have a steady paycheck, or couldn’t collect unemployment and you had almost almost a year’s worth of bills mounting up with no relief in sight? What would you do?
This episode also tackles herd mentality and the application of critical thinking skills to current events.

Subjective Truths, Alternative Facts
“Truth” isn’t objective. “Truth” is what you can convince a majority to believe.
For example, what we call history are just tales from the perspective of victors. A victor’s “truth” isn’t the same as a victim’s.
Hence the intentional use of the term “alternative facts.”

Ideological clones.
Most people are living lives similar to that of an NPC in a video game, unconsciously acting out preprogrammed desires, dreams and aspirations imposed on them by society, culture and other external factors.
To think, act, and desire the exact same things as the multitude, never stopping to examine why one lives the way one does, thinks the way one does, or believes what one believes, is to be an “ideological clone.”

UNITE!-The Right Wing is still U.S.
As we wait with bated breathe the results of the 2020 election I want to muse about the 49% of America who voted for Trump even after everything. Are they all “deplorables?” It would be easy to label them as such but I don’t think so.
We need to look closer and ask ourselves what sort of system even gave us these choices in the first place: a career politician or a crooked businessman wasn’t really a choice.
If you voted you did your duty as a citizen. You are not the problem. The people who gave us these choices are. They say the system is broken. Is it really? Or is it working precisely as intended? If the masses are fighting against themselves they will never be able to unite and come together to affect real change.
The media on both sides have done a great job fuelling dissent and division. Left wing, right wing, wings don’t flap themselves. Who controls the bird?

The Better Angels of Our Nature.
We always ask why people throughout history saw evil occurring and did nothing, thus allowing evil to prevail. We can learn from history; we can keep history from repeating itself and do something. We can delegitimise the Hate Monger In Chief while setting a precedence for other countries and the our youth. All of this can be accomplished simply filling out our ballot and voting in DROVES. Let’s do this, America! This is an appeal to the better angels of our nature.

Are You Better Than God?
In this thought provoking episode, we discuss whether or not the Bible actual describes a creator god or a flawed, technologically advanced humanoid terraforming a world that already had contained within it signs of life. Perhaps the Gnostics were onto something.
We will also discuss the only thing the Bible says separates the gods from mankind.

What if we are still in Eden?
Imagine (theoretically) that mankind never actually left Eden. Imagine the forbidden apple was actually a hallucinogen that poisoned our minds and caused us to only see the imperfections in our surroundings. Imagined it caused us to criticise/condemn ourselves into believing we have some how “fallen” from grace.
Hell is a frame of mind, not a physical plane, and a poisoned mind can turn paradise into a prison. We came to this world naked and wild and were taught to feel shame. As a result, we attempt to distract from our feelings of inadequacy caused by imposed expectations of unattainable perfection, by condemning and criticising others.
What if we never left Eden? Could we ever learn to be comfortable in our proverbial nakedness?
