(68) How to Stop Procrastinating Your Dreams

All too often we place our dreams and goals on a pedestal, out of reach. We set too high expectations for ourselves and get discouraged along the way. Some important concepts: The main reasons why we procrastinate are: too high expectations and perfectionism; fear of failure and rejection; being an end-to-start plannerTo overcome this, one of the best methods is to: break down the big goal into small achievable steps. Each small step contributes to incremental progress. Changing your self-talk to understand your thought patterns and beliefs can also make a huge difference! Having an accountability partner sometimes is the missing piece of the puzzle! It can be game-changing in terms of motivation, and ongoing progress! By acknowledging that you do have a dream you aspire to and putting in place daily actions towards it: you transform your dream into a project and then it can become reality! VIDEO of this episode:YouTube VideoABOUT Katie Stoddart:Katie Stoddart is an award-winning, international, high-performance coach. Snipd take this to a whole new level with AI integration, creating summaries of podcasts and summarizing the main takeaways from what I’ve saved and snipped. I really love how it helps me prioritize what podcast to listen to with it summaries & deep dives.
