193: 10 Tips to Create Hype Around a Launch
Got something to launch? Perhaps a new product, service, website, course, freebie, or business and you want to share it with your audience? You’ve worked so hard on this new thing and it’s so important to put some thought behind how you are going to reveal it to the world.Far too often there’s not enough time and energy behind the steps for launching and too much focus on the creation process. People can get stuck on this last step. Striving for perfection can cause paralysis and leave us scrambling when it comes time to promote. Here’s the thing -- if it’s not launched well, no one is going to see it anyway. We recently publicly launched one of my courses The Pinterest Lab and have so many takeaways from that experience. Today I want to share 10 ways you can create hype around something new and exciting in your business so that you can rock your next launch, big or small!GOAL DIGGER FB COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/goaldiggerpodcast/ GOAL DIGGER INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/goaldiggerpodcast/GOAL DIGGER SHOWNOTES: http://jennakutcherblog.com/hype/

192: Your Story Matters, Here's How to Own It
Lucia Pador is a super woman. You may know her from her work at Utterly Engaged, or more recently, her transition into helping others tell their stories and tell them well. Lucia is in my mastermind this year, and I have been AMAZED at how she can curate, visually story-tell, and manage Utterly Engaged flawlessly, while also working on her newest project which will help entrepreneurs tell their own story and leave a true legacy.Lucia is a daughter of immigrant parents who escaped a Communist war-torn country, moving from one refugee camp to another, to finally planting their roots in Southern California and building a beautiful life and business. After 30+ years of providing for their family through his art, Lucia’s father unexpectedly passed away. It was not until after he left this world did she finally see first hand how much of legacy he left behind. Without social media, she was blown away by the impact his art left behind that had spread across continents and oceans. Remembering what she learned from him, and combining her love for storytelling, social media, design and modern marketing, she is on a mission to help others spread their message, art, and creations through the most impactful and meaningful way.I know a lot of entrepreneurs love what they do, but struggle finding clarity, direction, and the know-how to share their message and stand out. I am lucky to have to have THE expert, Lucia Pador to teach us not only how to market ourselves well but to own our stories (even the messy parts!)GOAL DIGGER FB COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/goaldiggerpodcast/GOAL DIGGER INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/goaldiggerpodcast/GOAL DIGGER SHOWNOTES: http://jennakutcherblog.com/lucia/

191: How I Made $218,000 on Shopify in ONE Year
It’s been a little over a year since I opened my online shop: Shop Jenna Kutcher. It’s been a crazy, beautiful addition to my business and it’s been something I’ve been digging into as we’ve navigated this season of life because having an online digital store has been an incredible addition to my business for a few big reasons. I love having our shop because: 1. I have created resources that have helped me that are now available for everyone to enjoy and use. Why hide all the templates and tools I had built for my business that had attributed to my success? It’s been awesome to say: are you struggling with xyz? I have a resource for this exact thing. 2. It gives me the chance to reach my people with offers that are more accessible for those not ready to take a course or not in a financial place to purchase a full course or system. I love being able to sell well priced products that can help change businesses and give people the tools that they might not be able to purchase elsewhere. 3. It is 90% automated and digital which means we can serve our clients quickly, it’s open and available all the time, and most of it is run through automation which means less work on our part to get people what they need and to deliver a good client experience without having to be attached to every single sale. Have you thought about starting a Shopify shop? Today I am going to walk you through how I've made over $218,000 in just ONE year. 188: Real Talk: How to Stand Up For What You Believe In
I want to talk about it. The messy stuff, the embarrassing, the humiliating, the shameful… I want to talk about it. But it’s not always easy. You see, there are some BIG topics out there: body shaming, discrimination, inequality, war, oppression, shame, guilt…. But they aren’t always easy to address. Insert: today’s guest. Alex LaRosa is a plus size model, blogger, and self love advocate based in Los Angeles… This Cali native is ready to share her message of self acceptance and personal growth. She has two major goals: to help other women become the most powerful version of themselves and to see these women represented in fashion. The launch of Visibly Plus Size is a result of Alex's unwavering belief that all different types of women (no matter their size, age, or the color of their skin) benefit from seeing images that represent them in the media. Aside from her brilliant business and insane modelling skills, what also captured my eye is the way that Alex speaks about topics that matter. She recently caught my eye in an instagram comment section where there was a heated debate, and her responses were 1) respectful, but also informative and persuasive. I was so captivated by how this woman spoke up for what she believed that I knew I had to have her on the show. Goal Diggers, without any further adieu, welcome Alex Larosa! 187: My Worst Client Experiences and What They Taught Me
Part of being an entrepreneur means putting on your customer service hat and serving people well - but what happens when things go bad? What implications does it have on not just your business but your life? And how do you pull yourself out of those situations and use them to sincerely grow? I’ll be honest, in my seven years of entrepreneurship, I can count these awful experiences on one hand - maybe two if I took some time to really remember the things that I’ve likely blocked from my memory but when I look back, those were some of the best growing moments in my business, even though those times were rough - like really rough. So today, I want to break down some of the worst experiences that have happened to me in as an entrepreneur and then shed a light on what I ultimately ended up learning the really hard way.GOAL DIGGER FB COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/goaldiggerpodcastGOAL DIGGER INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/goaldiggerpodcast/GOAL DIGGER SHOWNOTES: jennakutcherblog.com/worstclient

186: Conversations with my Mom
My ultimate superwoman, my momma! My mom truly does it all: she is a mother of three (I have one brother and one sister), she has been married for 37 years, is a grandma to two (with two more on the way!), she has been a nurse for over 37 years and specifically a nursing instructor for 29. Not to mention, she coordinates my mastermind, is a Make A Wish granter, and is just generally the most positive, calming person you could ever be around!Today, I wanted my mom to come in to discuss #allthethings like only a mother could do. Hearing what it was like being a working momma, how she found her path, what advice she has for me as I become a mom, what she *really* thinks of my career, and just ALL the mom goodness! Safe to say, I will treasure this episode forever-- without further adieu, my momma, Sue Shelerud!GOAL DIGGER FB COMMUNITY: https://www.facebook.com/groups/goaldiggerpodcastGOAL DIGGER INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/goaldiggerpodcast/GOAL DIGGER SHOWNOTES: jennakutcherblog.com/sue
