On this episode Casey is sharing about her journey in pregnancy and parenting. She and her husband, TJ, live in College Station and Casey works for Texas A&M. They have two adorable little girls Piper and Parker. Casey is the most delightful, joy-filled person you might ever meet. If you met her somewhere you’d quickly pick up on her contagious joy and the fact that Jesus is the story and song of her entire life, but what you might not quickly know is that she found out at 34 weeks pregnant that Wyatt her seemingly healthy baby boy didn’t have a heartbeat and that Parker has special needs. In this episode Casey shares how she’s navigated these valleys and experienced hope through them. In this episode I’m talking with Scharlee and her daughter, Emily. Emily's dad and Scharlee's husband, Byron was a pastor, and he and Scharlee planted churches. Emily talks about ways her parents supported each other, valued family and committed their lives to Jesus. Scharlee shares how she contributed to the kingdom of God by being Byron's wife. Emily and Sharlee have a podcast called Good Things Podcast, and there they talk about the good things they see God doing in the world. It's a great listen!!

Lisa and Craig, parents of 4 children, will share their story of how they adopted their third child from Siberia when she was a year and a half old. Their children are now grown adults.  Their story is one of redemption, and the unique and incredible ways ways that God puts families together.

This is a conversation with John and Suzanne, the parents of Rachel and Emily. Both of their daughters were heavily involved in lots of activities, but ultimately narrowing to Softball and Gymnastics. In the midst of the pressures of those sports they continued to stay connected as a family and to their church family. They talk about how the difficult choices they had to make in order to make sure the things that they wanted to be important remained important. Suzanne said her goal in parenting is to work herself our of job because ultimately they wanted their girls to turn into confident women that can make wise decisions. They talk about the steps they took along way for this to happen.

This is a conversation with Rachel and Emily, two sisters. Both of these girls have quite a long list of accolades and accomplishments. Things like earning legit degrees from university of Texas and Texas A&M while excelling at collegiate sports. Rachel played softball at UT and Emily was a part of the gymnastics team at Texas A&M. Rachel now lives in California and works for a very, well known tech company. Emily is on a journey to med school. However, this conversation has little to do with those accomplishments, and more to do with who they are as people and how they accomplished all these things and remained humble, kind, people of integrity. You'll get some insight on what their parents did to support their passions AND build character.

This is a conversation with Cayce and John who have followed God's direction in saying "yes" to foster care. They share their journey to get there, the challenges, the gifts and how it has impacted their family. They specifically share what it has meant for their two elementary aged children.
