Cultivating empathy for others is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children. Empathy develops from self-awareness, so in this episode we talk about 4 ways we can help our kids become aware of the needs of those around them. And while awareness is a great first step, we also explore how our children can take that awareness further and stand up for those in need. Listen in to hear why it’s so important for us to regularly discuss feelings with our children and to help them self-regulate so they can access empathy (spoiler - they literally can’t think about how others are feeling in the midst of a conflict!). 013 - The Truth About Mom Guilt and How to Resolve It
It’s that constant chatter in our mind - am I doing a good enough job raising my kids? Are they watching too much TV? Am I spending enough time with them?
