#185 The pathway to liberty and a free society, with Mark Gober (part 2).
Mark Gober is the author of "An End to Upside Down Thinking", which was awarded the best independently published science book of 2019. He recently released the third book of the trilogy, โAn End To Upside Down Libertyโ, which he dedicates to "those who want to be free". This is the second, concluding part of my conversation with Mark, recorded in November 2021. The discussion in the previous episode was about how government threatens our liberty. And looking around me as I write this, I see our liberties eroding away: more lockdowns, more censorship, increased surveillance, mandatory vaccinations, suppression of dissenting opinions. One could argue that our society is on a slippery slope towards a dystopian totalitarian society, where a central authority dictates what the citizens can and cannot do. If you are concerned about our liberty and the kind of society our children will live in, then listen carefully. ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐: * An alternative to traditional government * The difference between the state and the functions of the state * How does metaphysics relate to politics? * What bridges do we need to build as humanity to transition there? * Critical mass and a shift in consciousness ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐พ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ: "And as we spiritualize, waking up, cleaning up, growing up, plus doing things to get government out of our lives, to me that's the pathway to liberty." -Mark Gober ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐: Support the showCareer transition and career clarity podcast content for midlife professionals in career transition, navigating a career change, career pivot or second career, starting a new venture or leaving a long-term career. #184 How does government threaten liberty? with Mark Gober (part 1).
Mark Gober is an international speaker and the author of "An End to Upside Down Thinking", which was awarded the best independently published science book of 2019. Very recently he released the third book of the trilogy, โAn End To Upside Down Libertyโ, which he has dedicated to "those who want to be free". The conversation was recorded in November 2021 - and when I look around me now, I see that our liberties are eroding away: more lockdowns, more censorship, increased surveillance, mandatory vaccinations, suppression of dissenting opinions. One could argue that our society is on a slippery slope towards a dystopian totalitarian society, where a central authority dictates what the citizens can and cannot do. If you are concerned about our liberty and the kind of society our children will live in, then listen carefully. The conversation concludes in the next episode #185. ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐: * Upside down Liberty: the mistaken belief we are free * "Government grants us freedoms": Does freedom really come from the government? * Are politicians trustworthy, altruistic, honourable servants of the people, as we are conditioned to believe? * In the end, do politicians care more about our interests or their interests? * How the government threatens Liberty * Brainwashing, mind control, and "conspiracy theories" * Big tech, governments and the media dictate what "truth" is and they shut down alternative opinions ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐พ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ: Support the showCareer transition and career clarity podcast content for midlife professionals in career transition, navigating a career change, career pivot or second career, starting a new venture or leaving a long-term career. #183 Special episode: Upside down Liberty
A special and quite different episode: I had a discussion with the author Mark Gober about liberty. And now that I am recording this, in December 2021, when I look around me it appears that liberty and freedom seem to be eroding away more and more. More lockdowns, more censorship, mandatory vaccinations, increased surveillance, one could argue that as a society, we are on a slippery slope, a road that can lead to a future not too far off from what we've read in dystopian novels like 1984, or watched in dystopian movies like Gattaca. If you are concerned about our freedom, if you care about the kind of society that our children and our grandchildren will live in, then I urge you to listen - this is one of the most important podcasts I've ever made. ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐พ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ: "So as we're beginning to see the inconsistencies in the narrative, we begin to ask ourselves, are we being told the truth? And if we're not, what does that mean? Seeing how our governments are becoming more oppressive, what could that lead to?" ๐๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ต๐ผ๐๐: I am Agi Keramidas, a zealous podcaster and a knowledge broker. #178 Mental health without diagnosis, healing conversations, and welcome to humanity, with Dr Fred Moss.
Dr Fred Moss is a thought leader and transformative psychiatrist who has served the mental health industry for four decades. While his initial interest in psychiatry was to expand on communication and human connections as primary healing tools, a shift in the medical paradigm in the 1980โs led to physicians diagnosing patients with imbalances and prescribing medications as a primary way of dealing with lifeโs distress. That led him to take a new approach with his patients, assisting them to reclaim their lives without psychiatric diagnoses and medication. As an advisor, speaker and educator, he is committed to humanity and to globally transforming our mental health conversations. He is also the host of the 'Welcome To Humanity' podcast, which explores what it means to be human and how to live an extraordinary life. ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐: * Judge a doctor by how hard she/he tries to get you off medication * At the heart of all healing, is someone who really wants to be heard * A global definition of mental health * Being compassionate and forgiving to yourself * The most effective way to reduce mental discomfort: help anyone do anything ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐พ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ: "You have a wonderful heart, and your curiosity is spectacular. But if you don't watch out, shiny objects will be your nemesis for the rest of your life." -Dr Fred Moss ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐: Website: https://welcometohumanity.net/ Support the showCareer transition and career clarity podcast content for midlife professionals in career transition, navigating a career change, career pivot or second career, starting a new venture or leaving a long-term career.
