The Billion $ Question! What Would You Do? What If You Already Have ALL You Need?
I was recently listening to a podcast where Peter Thiel was the guest. Thiel is the billionaire VC investor who was co-Founder of PayPal, the first major investor of Facebook and has become somewhat of an oracle of Silicon Valley.
In this particular conversation he described the day Yahoo offered $1billion for Facebook. This would have grossed Founder Mark Zuckerberg $250MM at the ripe old age of 22. At the time FB had only 100k users, most of which were college students.
Zuckerberg turned down the offer without blinking. The reason why he did is what I focus on in this episode. It gives great insight to what it looks like when you know you’ve found the thing that drives you to such a degree you can’t put a price tag on it-even if that tag is $250MM.
Enjoy!

Happy New Year! 3 Books to Read NOW to Get Your Mind Right
Well, it’s here. The new year has begun. I don’t know about you, but I’m a little sluggish. It’s odd because I’m usually ready to begin a new year like a shot out of a canon. No so this year.
I think it’s partly because the world just seems to be getting more and more exhausting. Uncertainty and the war being waged on truth just wears you down. So what to do?
Well, my solution is to reinforce my mind with wisdom and strength. I want to build a fortress around my mind and be very cautious as to what penetrates. I want to be even more deliberate about what movies I watch, songs I listen to, news I consume and of course what books I read.
I want to look to history for guidance. I want to search out wisdom. I want to continue being as healthy and slow the aging process as much as possible. I believe the surest way to create a good world is to first create a good me.
I’m recommending three books to you this episode to read in 2023. All three have had a profound impact on my life, and I plan to re-read each this year.
I encourage you to acknowledge truth when you see it. Be courageous enough to halt the madness of relativism being hoisted upon all of us. Look to those who have overcome great odds and be encouraged. Most of them were just like you and I. However, they tapped into a reserve of grit and courage they most likely didn’t even know they themselves had.
Happy New Year!
Jason

Self Image, Authentic Womanhood and Lessons Learned-Summer Tennison, Host of the 'For the One and For the One Listening Podcast'
As most of you know I’m a father. I have two beautiful daughters who are 21 and 22 respectively. They have grown into amazing young women, and I could not be more proud. As a result of being their Dad I’ve been able to watch some of their friends grow as well.
One such friend is Summer Tennison. Summer just graduated from The University of Alabama, and is now entering into the next chapter of her life. As such, she has decided to devote her life to her faith and the betterment of young women everywhere.
It’s her heart’s cry to share the message of faith, Jesus and authentic womanhood with women-particularly those at the pivotal stage of life-post adolescence.
This was such a great conversation with a young woman wise beyond her years. Summer has just launched a new podcast called ‘For the One and For the One Listening.’ You can find a link to the show HERE.
I hope you’ll have a listen to not only my conversation with Summer but her new show as well. Merry Christmas!

Is Ozempic a Wonder Weight Loss Drug? What is It? Why Are So Many People Taking?
Ozempic
From The New York Times Nov. 22, 2022
Ozempic, a drug used to treat diabetes, has gained attention recently as celebrities, a tech mogul and TikTok influencers have described taking it to lose weight in short time frames.
The Food and Drug Administration first approved the injectable medication for treating diabetes in 2017; the agency approved a drug with a higher dose of the active ingredient in Ozempic, called semaglutide, to treat obesity in 2021, under the brand name Wegovy. Since then, talk of the drug has popped up across the internet. Elon Musk, when asked about how he looked “fit, ripped and healthy,” tweeted that he was taking Wegovy. Andy Cohenposted about Ozempic’s growing popularity. In September, Variety reported that actors and producers “are quietly singing the drug’s praises” on Signal, an encrypted messaging app. On TikTok, thehashtag #Ozempic has been viewed over 273 million times, with people alternately expressing shock over their supposed medication-induced weight loss and swapping stories about side effects.

A Camera, A Chance Encounter With Nikki Sixx, to An Incredibly Successful Entrepreneurial Career-Doug Pick
Doug Pick Founder Hearo’s and Sleep Pretty Pink Earplugs
Doug Pick has had quite a ride. With dreams of becoming a record executive he entered the music industry in a totally different way. Instead of producing albums he produced earplugs. In this episode we discuss his entrepreneurs hero’s journey.
Maybe a more appropriate description would be a ‘Hearo’s’ Journey. Doug Pick is the founder of Hearo Earplugs. Doug has become a friend, and he’s an incredibly talented storyteller and has plenty of stories to showcase his talent.
Join me for this episode where the nuggets of wisdom rain down like mana from Heaven!
Through a series of unforeseeable events, at age 13, Nikki Sixx (yes — THE Nikki Sixx, leader of the heavy metal band, Motley Crue) invited me to be the band’s official local photographer. This once in a lifetime experience left an indelible mark and set the stage for my life as an entrepreneur.
I attended USC’s Entrepreneur Program, all the while, fixated on becoming a music business executive. Just days after graduating, Jerry Moss, Chairman of the Board of the famed A&M Records, hired me to work in sales. Through A&M, I enjoyed concerts and noticed frequently the only people protecting their ears were those on stage. I was a curious 24 year old and had no idea this single perplexing observation would lead me on a wonderful 26 year journey to become a recognized global leader in foam ear plugs.
Research, research and more research on the ears and how to protect one’s hearing. By completing a viability study, I knew I could bring to the masses an innovative new brand and product. In 1992, I trademarked HEAROS and went to work. I lived by the saying “the only place where Success comes before Work is in the dictionary” and was eventually rewarded beyond my dreams. By 2008, HEAROS had claimed the position as the #1 and #2 selling foam ear plug brands in the country through the nation’s largest retailers.
With nearly 20 years experience of buying hundreds of millions of ear plugs from others, I craved to support my desire for disruptive proprietary innovative designs and building enterprise value for my company.
In 2011, from the ground up, I built a state of the art ear plug manufacturing, assembly and distribution facility. Looking back, it was the most difficult project I ever took on. Fortunately, I was blessed with a brilliant and passionate team. When completed, our ear plug manufacturing facility would be capable of producing 120 MILLION ear plugs annually.
As fate would have it, a large private equity group saw synergy and acquired all four HEAROS companies in October 2018. By the time my HEAROS chapter concluded in 2020, I’d made a transformative mark in the ear plug category and sold more than 500 MILLION ear plugs worldwide.
As a next step, I invested in a Metaverse startup and accepted a senior position to apply my talents and experience. While it was a thrill to work with the entertainment community and raise funding from venture capital, I felt the pull to return to my roots of product marketing and distribution.
So begins my next chapter. I’m exhilarated to offer my energy, experience and skills to help other bold dreamers achieve extraordinary success.

Sexual Purity and Its Impact on Women Getting The Man They Want
I’ve been researching a great deal on what’s going on in dating, relationships, marriage rates, birth rates etx. You know, the stuff that keeps a society in existence.
I’m constantly shocked by the flippant attitude women and men alike have toward sex these days. I can’t help but think this is part of why we see people refraining from marriage or at a minimum putting it off longer and longer.
Further, women today, according to statistics, are more miserable than ever. Did you know on dating apps women only swipe right 5% of the time on average? This means 5% of the guys are getting all the girls.
I think the 4th wave of feminism has done an enormous amount of harm to women. It has taught them to be more self accepting and loving of “who they are.” Fine..good..I’m all in on accepting one’s immutable traits such as height, looks etc. What I’m not down for is accepting yourself for being a ‘ho’. Yep. I said it-a ‘ho’. Further, it’s incredibly arrogant and narcissistic to demand a man lower his standards to your self accepted standards.
Girls, if you want to get the guy, you are going to have to find out what men actually want in spite of what the militant feminists tell you. It’s a two way street.
You would never encourage your daughter to date a self accepting fat, no job having slob for a husband who sat in a basement crushing porn all day. You would never say to her, “Don’t be so superficial. He accepts himself for who he is and damn it so should you!”
It turns out what men want is a woman who is young and pure. This is in contrast with what most women are these days by the time they are ready to marry. When this time comes to pass, they are older and far far from pure. They’ve been told if men have a lot of sex so should we.
Well, you absolutely have the right to do it, but don’t expect men to want to marry you. So the question always gets asked, “Why is it ok for men to have lots of sex but not women?” First, I don’t think men should be having lots of sex either. I think that is the height of douchebaggery. However, there is a difference between men and women and here it is.
Women are born valuable and desired. A woman can have sex whenever she’s ready. A man has to earn his value. A man has to be of some value and has to work to have sex. Any woman reading this knows if she wanted to have sex she could. A man cannot. This is why if a man is a “player” he usually has some traits women want. He has to! Otherwise, he wouldn’t be a player.
On the other hand a girl need only have one quality-willingness. Is this fair to women? Probably not. However, is it fair men have to work so much harder for sex than women?
These are tough questions that need addressing. My bottom line as the father of two girls is this. Girls, I want you to find your prince. I want a man who will love, adore, cherish and respect you. I want the top 1% for you BUT me wanting it isn’t enough. YOU must make yourself desirable to that prince. That’s on you.

Please join me for a rant. I learned yesterday my undergraduate Alma Mater SFA has been absorbed by the UT System. I share my thoughts on why I think this has happened.
Liver King Exposed for Steroid Use
Also, Brian Johnston aka Liver King has been exposed as a fraud. After multiple denials of using steroids it turns out he in fact has been using them…a lot.
