Wisdom Wednesday 8-16-23: Don't Hate The Sun or The Rain

When the rain comes during our time of play we can either grumble or we can play in the rain. When the sun is hot we can either complain about the heat or remember the times we’d have given anything for its warmth. We always have the power to control our response to any situation. ——————————————————— Follow me on Social Media Intagram Twitter YouTube FaceBook LinkedIn ———————————————————– Grab a Copy of My Books “The Stone Chiseler” “Push Play: Taking Your Life Off Pause” ——————————————————– Want to Improve always in ALL ways?  Please checkout The Vitruvian Lab, my personal training and coaching site for both live and on-line training for: Health and Longevity Mindset Optimization Behavioral Science Business Mentoring ——————————————————– Thank you for listening to The Jason Wright Show. Money Monday: YES YOU CAN Pay Off Your House! Here's How!

Paying off a 30-year mortgage in 15 years is an ambitious goal, but it’s definitely possible with careful planning, discipline, and the right financial strategy. Here are some steps you can take to achieve this: Refinance to a Shorter Term Loan: If you’re still early into your 30-year mortgage, consider refinancing to a 15-year mortgage. This will likely come with a higher monthly payment, but it will help you pay off the loan faster due to the shorter term and lower interest rates associated with shorter-term loans. Increase Monthly Payments: If you’re unable to refinance or prefer to stick with your current mortgage, you can choose to make higher monthly payments. Calculate what your monthly payment would be if you were on a 15-year mortgage and start paying that amount each month. This will contribute to both principal and interest reduction. Make Extra Payments: In addition to increasing your monthly payments, make extra payments whenever possible. This could be annually, quarterly, or even just whenever you have a windfall of money. Make sure to specify that the extra payment should go towards the principal balance, not the interest. Bi-weekly Payments: Instead of making monthly payments, consider making half of your monthly payment every two weeks. This results in 26 half-payments (equivalent to 13 full payments) each year, which effectively adds an extra payment towards the principal annually. Cut Expenses: Look for ways to reduce your expenses and allocate the savings towards your mortgage payments. This could involve cutting back on non-essential spending or finding ways to save on monthly bills. Use Windfalls Wisely: If you receive unexpected windfalls such as tax refunds, bonuses, or gifts, consider putting a significant portion of that money towards your mortgage principal. Side Hustles or Additional Income: Explore opportunities to increase your income through part-time jobs, freelancing, or other side gigs. Direct the extra income towards your mortgage payments. Avoid Lifestyle Inflation: As your income grows, try to resist the temptation to significantly increase your spending. Instead, allocate the extra income towards paying off your mortgage faster. Consider Making Lump Sum Payments: If you come into a larger sum of money, like an inheritance or a substantial savings, consider using a portion of it to make a lump sum payment towards your mortgage principal. Regularly Monitor Progress: Keep a close eye on your progress by regularly reviewing your mortgage statements and calculating how much time and interest you’re saving by paying off the mortgage early. Remember that paying off a mortgage early requires discipline and careful financial planning. Make sure to check with your mortgage provider to understand any prepayment penalties or terms related to early payment. Before implementing any of these strategies, consider consulting a financial advisor to ensure they align with your overall financial goals and situation. Dr. Gus’s Protocol for Gut Stabilization – BodyHealth Reds Phytonutrient Powder (use code wildhealth20 at checkout for 20% off)  – one scoop daily to provide food-based phytonutrients from red pigmented fruits and vegetables. Red polyphenols are very good for the gut. – Some form of greens powder  (use code wildhealth20 at checkout for 20% off) – one scoop daily. Options include BodyHealth Greens, Thorne Greens, or Athletic Greens. It’s a blend of soluble and insoluble fibers and prebiotic fibers that can help maintain a healthy gut. Some people feel bloated and gassy with this option, so you can explore alternative fiber options. I also like Thorne FiberMend, which is a healthy prebiotic formulation. I also combine a Greens or Reds powder with that so I can put it all together in one concoction. – Nitric oxide support – if you have used a salivary test and determined that nitric oxide availability is low for you, you should consider utilizing some form of nitric oxide support. I recommend the Berkeley Life Nitric Oxide Support Capsules (Practitioner code: GVIC01 discount: drvick10)  and the dose is two capsules daily together. – Berberine– 500 to 1000 milligrams taken twice daily to support metabolic health and glucose regulation. If you like them, bone broths are sufficient for this. – Either consume two portions a day (a portion is five tablespoons) of some truly fermented food to provide probiotics to your gut or use a high quality probiotic supplement, I recommend the Klaire Ther-Biotic Complete or the Seed Synbiotic at two capsules a day. We have links for  – Optional, but very good for you – use either a powdered base or capsule based form of colostrum each morning. Use the colostrum for a few weeks every other month. Take The Punishment That Was Threatened To You

“The judge will do some things to you which are thought to be terrifying; but how can he stop you from taking the punishment he threatened?” Epictetus There’s a scene everyone remembers from Braveheart. It’s near the end of the movie, and William Wallace has been captured. He’s imprisoned, and the Princess comes to his cell, begging him to plead for mercy. Wallace knows the brutality of the King and his executioners. He knows his death will be slow and painful. He knows the threat before him. The Princess offers him what seems to be a sedative or some other liquid meant to ease his imminent suffering. Wallace takes the liquid and then, once the Princess has left, spits it out. Eventually, we witness a brutal re-enactment of the execution of William Wallace. Wallace’s body was stretched by horses, and he was disemboweled while still alive and conscious. I can’t even fathom the pain. Wallace was a medieval freedom fighter. He was fighting a rebellion for freedom for his country of Scotland. His last act on this earth was one of freedom. He chose to exercise his freedom to take his punishment fully and completely the way he chose. As a result, his last act of freedom still echoes in the annals of time.
