On Thursday’s Daily Puck Drop with host Jason “Puck” Puckett, he welcomes his regular Wednesday guests, Mike Garafolo from the NFL Network to discuss the latest with the Seahawks offensive coordinator search, and much more in the NFL and from The Athletic, Michael-Shawn Dugar, who covers the Seahawks and they also chat about the Seahawks offensive coordinator search, plus the future of Tariq Woolen and the 2024 Seahawks draft class. Puck opens the show revealing that he’s in Dad trouble with his teenage daughter, the search continues for the Seahawks new offensive coordinator, Kansas City Chiefs fatigue, pulling for the Buffalo Bills, and did Divish leave off Ichiro off his hall of fame ballot?(23:00) - Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins Puck for his weekly visit and they immediately jump into the three candidates who have received second interviews with the Seahawks for their vacant offensive coordinator position: Hank Fraley, Grant Ubinski and Klint Kubiak. Who is the front runner and the decision is coming soon.  Plus, why doesn’t Fraley follow Ben Johnson to Chicago or take over in Detroit? How is Brian Schottenheimer really a candidate for the Cowboys head coaching job? He fell one vote short of being unanimous. Do we want to know who that person is? Puck offers his thoughts which may surprise you. Should both Randy and Ichiro have their number 51 retired together?  Finally, in Mel Kiper’s first mock draft he has the Titans selecting Cam Ward! (34:31) Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com chats about the continued search for a new offensive coordinator and they react to an idea that Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated has floated that it could be a role that is split between two people.  Also, who on the defense is expendable, Byron Murphy’s first year, Tariq Woolen extension, mock drafts, and Geno and Pete getting back together?(1:08:30) Ryan Divish, Seattle Times joins Puck for his weekly visit and they discuss Ichiro going into the hall of fame, what was it like covering him, his impact on the game from a cultural standpoint and why he voted for Felix Hernandez.   They also discussed the jersey retirement for Ichiro and whether the number 51 should also include Randy Johnson.  Lastly, the Mariners continue to sit on the sideline for improving the baseball team, are they waiting on Alex Bregman to make a decision?(1:42:49) “Hey, What the Puck!” The number 51 should be retired for both Ichiro and Randy Johnson.  They both deserve to be represented.

Tuesday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features Larry Stone, former Seattle Times columnist discussing Ichiro going into the Hall of Fame.  Danny Kelly, The Ringer, stops by for his weekly visit to discuss the NFL, championship weekend and Kansas City Chiefs fatigue.  Also stopping by on Tuesday, the Ground Puck Podcast with Tim Booth of the Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree of FOX 13. Normally the show airs on Monday, but they flipped with John Canzano.  They discuss how far the Seahawks are away from playing on championship weekend and the heat being turned up on John Schneider. Puck opens up the show discussing last night’s national title game and the gut punch he took because he had the Irish at +8.5! Kirk Herbstreit crying, no buzz for the game and the college football season needs to be shorter. (9:06) - Larry Stone, former Seattle Times sports columnist joins Puck to chat about Ichiro going into the Hall of Fame. On Monday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett has Jim Moore on, who appears on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.  Also dropping by on Monday is John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com, he normally is on Tuesday’s but because of the national title game he previews the game from Atlanta.  The Ground Puck Podcast with Tim Booth, Seattle Times & Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13 will be on Tuesday. Jim opens up his appearance with Puck telling him that his mother’s place in Scottsdale, Arizona has run out of water and they can’t use any water in the house including using the toilet and Jim desperately needs to go the bathroom and claims he may shi*t himself while doing the show. His dogs make a barking appearance as Puck and Jim chat about the NFL playoffs, Puck’s appearance on Mitch Levy’s podcast, the LA Dodgers buying up players, a PGA golfer taking a 13 on a hole this weekend and who they are betting on in tonight’s national championship game. (57:44) - John Canzano, from JohnCanzao.com is on the show Monday because he’s in Atlanta for the national title game between Notre Dame and Ohio State. Puck and John chat about the game in which the Buckeyes are heavy favorites. Will it be Chip Kelly’s last game as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator and does he have his sights set on the NFL?  What proposed changes are coming to the college football playoffs, their is a legal matter brewing between a player on Wisconsin and the University of Miami, Title IX in jeopardy and could Gonzaga miss out on this years NCAA tournament? (1:25:27) - “Hey, What the Puck!?” Please bring back the TikTok ban! 

Friday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features guests Jim Moore, former Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu, PuckSports handicapper TroyWins.com and Chris Egan from KING 5.  The show opens with Jim detailing his hatred for technology and Puck chastising him for participating in dry January. Jim’s life is turning into the movie “Falling Down” which starts Michael Douglas. (21:47) - Former Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatup joins for his weekly visit and they discuss what they want in a new Seahawks offensive coordinator, Geno Smith’s future, NFL playoff games and Lofa wanting to fight Eagles receiver A.J. Brown. (47:45) - PuckSports handicapper TroyWins.com joins the show from Palm Springs where he’s watching the American Express golf tournament and he handicaps the NFL playoff games and the national title game. Troy also unveils his “Dog of the Week.” (1:03:40) - Friday VoiceMails is back and features three new characters….Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, former Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu and the late Bob Uecker. (1:09:20) - Chris Egan from KING 5 finished up the Friday as he always does.  Egan and Puck talk Mariners fans apathy, Geno Smith love, Chris’ fabulous piece on a high school sports volunteer and his wife fat shaming him at Taco Bell. (1:37:46) - “Hey, What the Puck!?” Burgermaster in the University Village is closing shop after being open since 1952. Puck express frustration with the city and losing its identity. 

Thursday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features Mike Garafolo, NFL Network with  BREAKING news on the Seahawks search for a new offensive coordinator and Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic on the reaction to the offensive coordinator search reportedly winding down and financial decisions looming for the Seahawks. Puck starts off the show discussing fan apathy among Mariner fans and he wonders how close this ownership group is to losing a fan base.  Many fans are starting to revolt and it could get much worse for the Mariners if they don’t right the ship. Also, many fans are cancelling their season tickets and flex tickets.  What will attendance look like this year because most fans feel betrayed by the teams ownership. (23:22) - Mike Garafolo, NFL Network jumps on with Puck and drops breaking news that Klint Kubiak, who spent last season with New Orleans Saints, is in Seattle getting a second in person interview with the Seahawks and according to Mike is “in the drivers seat” to be named the new offensive coordinator under Mike Macdonald.  Mike explains the decision to Puck on why Kubiak works, potential relationship with Macdonald and what the future has in store for quarterback Geno Smith, receiver D.K. Metcalf and other roster moves on the horizon for Seattle.   Also, does Deion Sanders want the Cowboys job?  When are the Bears going to find a coach or are they going to interview the entire NFL?  Would Pete Carroll work in Dallas under Jerry Jones?  Does  the Rooney Rule work in the NFL or are teams taking advantage of the requirement?   Lastly, Mike predicts who will be playing on championship weekend. (55:23) - Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic, drops by for his weekly visit with Puck and reacts to the news that Klint Kubiak is the leading candidate to be hired as offensive coordinator as Mike Garafolo told Puck on the Daily Puck Drop.  Mike and Puck also discuss the financial future of the Seahawks and what decisions they need to make in the future to reduce their payroll and get under the cap.  Does it make sense to trade D.K. Metcalf this offseason?  What type of deal will D.K. want and is it financially sound anymore in today’s NFL to pay a wide receiver so much money?    Dugar and Puck also pick up on the conversation that Puck had with Garafolo on the use of the Rooney Rule and is it truly working in the NFL or are there changes that need to be made?(1:30:34) - “Hey, What the Puck!?”  Puck discusses the ugly incident that happened this past weekend in Philadelphia involving a Packers fan and Eagles fan.  No one is innocent in this story. 

On Wednesday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, who appears on the show every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Also stopping by were Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftblog.com , to talk about the Seahawks offense and how they intend to improve the offense from this past season and Ryan Divish, Seattle Times, is on the show from a furniture store breaking down the latest so called moves by the Mariners.  Puck and Jim open up the show talking about why Jim was late to the show and they debated back and forth about how many times Jim was late to the show back in the radio days.  Jim’s memory on this is fuzzy.  They discuss the moves the Mariners have made and just laugh at the names they have brought in and the cost of each guy and wonder if they will win more or less games in 2025.  They briefly touch on the Seahawks requesting an interview with 28 year old Vikings assistant Grant Udinksi and have a good laugh at golfer Kevin Kisner who played in last night’s TGL event with Tiger Woods and was by far and away the worst golfer.  (34:53) - Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftBlog.com, joins Puck to discuss the Seahawks offseason and they put a microscope on the Seahawks offense.  Beside hiring an offensive coordinator, what is the most pressing need for the Seahawks offense as they head into the offseason?  They discuss the future of Geno Smith, his contract and his worth.   Where do things stand with D.K. Metcalf, is there a chance he could be dealt?  How do they go about fixing the offensive line, especially since they need to replace three members of the line most likely.  How do we feel about the running back room and thoughts on the tight end group.   Lastly, Quinn Ewers declares for the NFL draft and Rob likes what he sees.  (1:11:54) - Ryan Divish, Seattle Times, joins Puck from his buddies furniture store in Havre, Montana, where Divish is helping him out on the sales floor! Puck can’t get enough of watching Ryan in action try to be a furniture salesman.   They discuss the latest moves the Mariners have made, Donovan Solano and Miles Mastrobuoni…Puck jokes with Divish and asks which one of these moves pushes the Mariners over the hump for a championship?  With the move of Solano, the M’s now have around $12 million to spend, what is left on the free agent market?  It’s now three weeks before the start of spring training, will Luis Castillo be on the team or will that be the one big move that Jerry Dipoto will make?  Divish sums up how he feels the M’s offseason has gone to this point.  Lastly, apparently Divish filmed a commercial for the furniture store and Puck is dying to get his hands on it! (1:33:11) - “Hey, What the Puck!?   Puck has just one wish in regards to the Seahawks search for a new offensive coordinator. 

Tuesday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett featured his weekly Tuesday lineup, Danny Kelly, The Ringer, talking about the NFL, playoffs, coaching searches, price of elite wide receivers and what makes Sean McVay a great coach and John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com on the state of college football, national championship game, Pac-12/Mountain West lawsuit, future of the NIL and changes to the college football playoffs. Puck opens up the show talking about the Mariners and their most recent move, 37 year old platoon infielder, Donovan Solano.  Puck is trying to come to grips with the Mariners offseason and it’s painful! (16:02) - Danny Kelly from The Ringer joins Puck to discuss the NFL playoffs, Rams on fire, Sean McVay best coach in football, NFL trades for coaches, predictions in the divisional rounds, fake Jerry Jones press conference, paying elite wide receivers and Eagles receiver A.J. Also on Monday’s during the football season, Puck hosts the Ground Puck Seahawks Podcast with Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13.  On Monday’s show, they cover, indoor baseball, betting on the wrong Canadian golfer, boring wild card weekend, looking ahead to the divisional round games, Cougars falter against Gonzaga, Jim’s dog barking and the future of D.K. Metcalf and whether or not it’s worth paying him big dollars. Puck wraps up the show as always with, “Hey, What the Puck!” Where he discusses the pressure parents put on kids in club sports. Timeline: 0:00 - Opening ramblings about picking the wrong Canadian golfer, boring wild card games, how long can I keep my Christmas lights up, and why does Jim hate white cars  14:50 - Puck shares his thoughts of watching his kid play in a indoor baseball tournament this past weekend in Centralia 23:45 - Wild card games were boring accept for the Commanders and Buccaneers, but the rest of the games were absolute dogs and Puck found himself napping during them. 27:30 - Puck and Jim discuss A.J. Brown and him reading a book on the sideline and they take a deep dive into is it worth paying D.K. Metcalf and wonder if he is truly worth all the money that is coming his way?   They look at the past Super Bowl champions and they all had one thing in common, no team with a receiver that was one of the top paid in the league.   Can they spend their money better elsewhere?  If they were to trade D.K., what would the market look like? 1:36:14 - “Hey, What the Puck!?” Are we as parents putting too much pressure on our kids in club sports?
