Kathy Riojas is a Texas native raising three children across the lifespan with her husband. Following an autism diagnosis of her youngest child, Kathy traded an almost 15-year career in public education for a new career in mental health. Today Kathy operates a solo private practice, is a freelance writer for Dallas Moms and Denton County Moms and operates an Instagram page, WithLove.Kat, where she unapologetically confronts the duality of grief and joy as a parent to a non-speaking autistic boy. Kathy is also a bravoholic and she shares thoughts on the recent announcement from Tamra Judge and RHONJ Jaqueline Laurita’s journey with ASD was discussed. This interview shares Kathy’s perspective about being a caregiver for a child on the ASD spectrum in an effort to share varied perspectives on this topic.
