From Survival to Sovereignty

Have you ever made a decision from a place of fear, urgency, or pressure, and later realized it wasn’t truly aligned? In this episode of the Sound Therapy Network Podcast, we explore the profound shift from survival-based decision-making to sovereign, embodied choice. When you're in a fight, flight, freeze, or fawn state, your nervous system is driving decisions out of self-protection, not alignment. But when you begin to regulate your body, integrate your inner parts, and build shame resilience, everything changes. This episode is an invitation to check in with how you're making choices, not just what you're choosing. It’s a call to reclaim your power, reconnect to your body, and lead from your whole, grounded self. In this episode, we explore: The difference between survival and sovereignty How trauma and nervous system dysregulation impact decision-making Signs you’re choosing from fight, flight, freeze, or fawn Why shame resilience is essential for aligned leadership How to know you’re healing and integrating your parts Tools to return to your body and make grounded, intuitive decisions How sound therapy supports sovereignty and embodiment This episode is for you if: You’re tired of reactive, fear-based decisions You want to feel more clarity and confidence in your choices You’re exploring embodiment, inner child work, or somatic healing You’re a sound healer, coach, or practitioner seeking to lead from your truth Don’t forget: If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone who’s learning to lead from their body and truth, not pressure or performance. Unpacking Religious Trauma With Shelley Olm

In this episode, I unpack religious trauma with Shelley Olm.  Shelley is a certified Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master, Sound Bath Facilitator, Master Vibrational Sound Healer, Yoga RYT 500, Advanced Buti Yoga Instructor, AFAA Group fitness instructor and Children’s Book Author. As a lifelong student, there is always more to learn, and she continually strives for more knowledge and experience. Because each situation and every person are different, Shelley likes to combine different healing modalities together depending on what type of healing is needed. This could be anything from placing singing bowls directly on the body in combination with energy work, to breathwork, sound bath, meditation, drumming, and vocal toning. Rooted in her love for Christ and for people, Shelley leads intuitive, Bible-based, spirit-led sound baths designed to nurture the soul and release trauma. Her sound baths are a unique blend of spiritual guidance and healing sound, aiming to uplift and restore every participant. Whether through the resonance of sound or the wisdom of scripture, Shelley is committed to helping others find their inner fire with peace, joy, and deep inner healing. We are vibrational beings; therefore, our body responds to the vibrational quality of sound as it enters the body in waves, balancing the Chakras, removing stuck energy, and opening the body to receive healing energy from the source of all things.  In her spare time, Shelley enjoys spending time with family, writing, and trail running.
