Profit with Law: Profitable Law Firm Growth
Moshe Amsel
Small Law Firms often start from the practice of law and not as a business venture. This ends up causing the growth of the firm to be much longer and more painful than it needs to be. If you started a Law Firm with the intention of increasing your impact, freeing up your time and having all the money you will ever need then the strategies we discuss will be priceless for you. Profit with Law is a show focused on the business of running a law firm as a profitable venture. Packaging and pricing your services, getting clients consistently, growing your staff in a way that feels good to you and implementing systems and technology to set yourself up for success are all discussions you will find here on the show. Moshe Amsel the host of the Profit with Law podcast is not an attorney. He has spent 20 years as an executive in the IT industry before becoming an accountant and business advisor for small businesses. As the owner of a successful accounting firm DreamBuilder Financial and Law Firm Growth coaching organization Profit with Law, Moshe has proven that there are better and different ways for a law firm to do business and be successful. Our mission is to empower all people with wealth creation so that this and future generations can lead a better life. We’d love nothing more than to do this by helping law firm owners on their journey. A law firm is not for practice it’s for profit!

Staffing as a Cultural Foundation in a Law Firm with Andrew Wilcox - 302
Send us a textShownotes can be found at https://www.profitwithlaw.com/302. Choosing the right people for the job is a difficult — yet necessary — task, most especially in a law firm. Human capital is one of the most important growth factors for a business. Oftentimes, employees are hired for their education and training but rarely do companies get to assess an individual’s personality, which can say a lot about how they communicate with colleagues and potential clients. We cannot just hire attorneys for their skills; we need employees that are good for our firm’s culture. In this episode, Andrew Wilcox joins Moshe Amsel to talk about his experience in growing a legal recruitment and consulting firm. He discusses the importance of quality staffing, along with the challenges law firms face when it comes to employee retention. Andrew also highlights the need for a skilled leader to keep teams intact. If you want to know more about selecting the right people for your firm, then this episode is for you. Why Becoming Less Risk Averse Can Unlock Your Success - 299
Send us a textShownotes can be found at https://www.profitwithlaw.com/299. Starting your own law firm is one of the riskiest decisions you can make. However, most firm owners start their firm because of circumstance and not because they evaluated the risk. So, even if you took the risk to start your own firm, you may still be risk averse and if you’re risk averse, that will hold you back from making the decisions you need to make in order to grow your firm. In this episode, Moshe Amsel talks about risk and how to achieve the right balance of risk taking. He explains the difference between unhealthy risk taking that can cost you your firm and healthy risk taking that will catapult the growth of your firm.
