E102 - Software & Automation of the Insurance Backoffice with Phil Reynolds, CEO of BriteCore
Join us at Insurance Nerds Day, Saturday, October 6th in Chicago. Go to InsuranceNerdsDay.com to register! In this episode of Profiles in Risk, I spoke with Phil Reynolds founder and CEO of BriteCore. The insurance back-office is rarely discussed in insurtech circles. It is generally an afterthought. Yet, as I have learned over the past year of creating my startup, the back office functionality of an insurer is vital to the proper functioning on the company and mistakes there can have deep financial and legal consequences. One other thing I found out, the back office is difficult to manage. Insurance transactions are enormously complicated and in this episode, Phil goes into details of this complexity. I also learned that Phil fell into insurance like many of us and had a prior career in music...and has a killer microphone, which generated better sound quality than your host's 😔. How interesting is insurance back office technology? Interesting enough, that we spent over an hour discussing it and I feel like we just scratched the surface. E97 - Charles Spect of Permission Group on Growing Your Agency by Getting Permission and The Broker of Record Letter
This episode is sponsored by IA Path - Unlocking Your Adjusting Superpowers. Go to https://iapath.comIn this episode, I had a pleasant conversation with Charles Specht of Permission Group. Charles fell into insurance and loved the production side of the business. After committing himself to the ministry, Charles created Permission Group to teach aspiring agents and brokers how to ethically grow a $1 million book of business by getting permission and by getting the Broker of Record (BoR) Letter. According to Charles, nothing says permission or trust than by a customer signing the BoR and few things allow a book to grow as quickly! This episode is sponsored by IA Path - Unlocking Your Adjusting Superpowers. Go to https://iapath.comYou may have heard about Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld. Well, in this episode of Profiles in Risk, I sat in a car at Logan Airport in Boston, with David Wright, where we discussed all things brokering in reinsurance (with a pinch of comedy thrown in). What is a reinsurance broker? What do they do? How does one become a reinsurance broker? Just two guys...sitting in a car...in the cell phone lot...with two giant microphones on the dashboard...talking reinsurance...nerding out...#RaisingTheBar!CONNECT WITH DAVID WRIGHT:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-wright-73661214/ Beach Group Home Page: http://beachgp.com/ MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Podcast Nick Mentioned on The Challenger Sale: https://overcast.fm/+Gs6kOEluQ The Challenger Sale Book: https://amzn.to/2uzQ9ad David's Podcast - The Not Unreasonable Podcast: https://notunreasonable.buzzsprout.com/ SUBSCRIBE AT: Buzzsprout RSS: https://goo.gl/5K4X3Q Google Play: https://goo.gl/WMAvW4 iTunes: https://goo.gl/7SqwvP Overcast: https://goo.gl/8b4cbD Spotify: https://goo.gl/niAbGN Stitcher: https://goo.gl/DmE7Mi YouTube: https://goo.gl/1Turar
