Michelle Boland, Coaching Identity, Learning, Mentors, PRI Influences || Episode #28 [EN]
Michelle Boland is a Ph.D, a certified strength and conditioning coach (CSCS) and the owner of Michelle Boland Training, LLC.
Michelle was previously the Director of Education at a private training facility and a Strength and Conditioning Coach for a D1 collegiate institution, working with a nationally ranked top 5 Women’s Ice Hockey team, a nationally ranked top 10 Men’s Ice Hockey team, and other teams including Field Hockey, Women’s Soccer, and Men’s Basketball.
She played soccer and basketball at the collegiate level while she completed a bachelor’s degree in nutrition. Michelle also has a master’s degree in strength and conditioning and a doctoral degree in exercise physiology.
As an educator and as a mentor, Michelle guides coaches in their decision making processes and helps them establish appropriate frameworks, systems and models to organize and utilize the information that they acquire along the way.

JB Morin, Sprint en Sport Co, Profiles F/V, Application Pratique & Coaching || Episode #27 [FR]
Jean-Benoît Morin est Professeur à la Faculté des Sciences du Sport d’Uinversité Côte d’Azur à Nice.
Ses travaux de recherche visent à améliorer l’analyse de la locomotion humaine et de la performance sportive, notamment par le développement et la validation de modèles théoriques et de méthodes utilisables en conditions réelles de pratique. L’objectif est d’améliorer la performance sportive (par un entrainement plus individualisé et plus efficace) ainsi que la gestion de certaines blessures liées à la pratique sportive (par une meilleure compréhension des facteurs de risque, et une amélioration des processus de réathlétisation). Il a publié plus de 130 articles dans des revues scientifiques, et dirigé un ouvrage collectif.
Les champs d’application de ces recherches incluent actuellement des collaborations avec des structures sportives de niveau international en France (clubs et fédérations françaises d’athlétisme, de rugby, de volleyball, INSEP), et à l’étranger (Angleterre, Espagne, Italie, Nouvelle-Zélande, Japon, Etats-Unis) autour de la performance en saut et sprint. Ces recherches ont également permis le développement et la validation d’applications pour smartphone permettant une analyse précise de la performance, dans le but d’appliquer les modèles théoriques et les objectifs précités chez des populations plus larges de sportifs. JB Morin est aussi consultant pour des structures professionnelles et fédérations sportives (par ex. NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, …).
