Dr. Geninho Thomé is graduated in Dentistry, Specialist in Periodontology, Master and PhD in Oral Implantology. He founded the Neodent implant system in 1993 after years of experience in the field. Twenty years later the company was acquired by the Straumann Group. In 2004, he also co-founded the Latin American Institute for Dental Research and Education (ILAPEO) – which is now Neodent's main clinical research center. Dr. Hessam Nowzari graduated from the University of Brussels in Belgium, University of Rennes in France, PhD in Biology and Health Sciences, and University of Southern California, Advanced Periodontics program. He was the Director of Advanced Periodontics at USC from 1995 to 2012 and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is the founder of the Taipei Academy of Reconstructive Dentistry in Taiwan. Since 2012 to 2016, he is an active member of a review committee for The National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR) in Italy and served as one of the selected scientific experts charged with assessing and ranking research proposals on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. He was the guest Editor-in Chief of the “Journal de Parodontologie & d'Implantologie Orale” 2013 in France and is on the editorial board of Clinical Implant Dentistry & Related Research. Dr. Eyal Simchi is a Pediatric dentist who does dentistry differently. A trailblazer in the use of new and inovative techniques focused on improving his patients' experiences, Dr. Simchi has gained worldwide attention for his use of magic in dentistry. Dr. Simchi attended UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School where he was elected to serve on the ethics committee. Dr. Block lives and practices in the town of Acton, Massachusettes about 30 minutes west of Boston. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tulane University in 1997, where he was a walk-on for the Division 1 tennis team. He earned his DMD from the Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale in 2002, and then completed a two-year Dental Implantology residency at Boston University in 2004 where he also was a former instructor. Commander Corinne Devin was born overseas and lived in six different military bases while her father CDR (retired) Robert F. Devin served in the Dental Corp. Nine generations of a distinguished Naval family preceded Corinne and inspired her to pursue a career in the United States Navy. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 with United States Navy to Al Asad, Iraq and has enjoyed her travel to over 50 countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Her professional education consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from St. Mary’s College, Doctorate of Dental Medicine from University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Master’s Degree in Oral Biology from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program and board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. CDR Devin is the Department Head of Dental Specialties and the sole orthodontic provider where she proudly serves the military active duty and their families at United States Naval Hospital Sigonella. Dr. Sam Ahani is a general dentist who cofounded Shoreview Dental in Pacifica Ca. in 1997 along with his wife and partner in crime Dr. Sepi Vafi. He graduated with a degree in computer information systems from San Francisco state in 1989. More recently he founded refera.com a revolutionary dental referral platform. Sam has two Daughters, Elika and Nikka, and enjoys learning about technology and business, fishing, and Brazillian Jui-Jitsu. Sam’s most recent hobby is walking and listening to business podcasts of all kinds. Dr. Rowshan Ahani is a Board Certified endodontist and owner of Bayside Endodontics in Daly City, California. He attended UC Davis for his undergraduate degree, then went on the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received his DDS degree in 1999. After graduation, he moved the State University of Buffalo, New York, where he earned his certification in endodontics as well as a Master’s in Oral Biology. He lives with his wife, Tina (also a dentist) and their 3 sons, aged 11, 13, and 15. As for hobbies, he enjoys an active lifestyle which includes snowboarding, fishing, and basically every outdoor activity with his wife and boys. Dr. Fonseca came to the U.S from Cuba after attending dental school at age 21. Upon arriving he immediately decided to continue studying dentistry. He attended the University of Florida where he got a Bachelor of Sciences in Microbiology. Then he went to Dental School at Indiana University where he got his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989. Since then, Dr. Fonseca has opened three dental practices from scratch and he attributes his success to choosing great locations, owning the real state, working hard and providing 24 hours emergency service. He enjoys taking dental courses and attending dental conventions in the US and other countries. He is past president of the Miami Dade Dental Society and continues being involved in organized dentistry. Besides dentistry, he is passionate about networking and politics and on the personal side he has a son who is in law school and he enjoys traveling and cruising. Seth Calish attended Florida State University and was a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, is an Eagle Scout, and later earned a Master’s in Medical Science at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He is currently a 3rd Year Dental student in Florida and has held many leadership positions such as President of his Class, President of the Dental Business Management Club, and ASDA District 5 Advocacy Chairman.
