Described as an educational entertainer, Gerry completed pediatric dental residency at Emory University, 1979 and orthodontics at Northwestern University, 1981 under the direction of Dr. Hal Perry. For 39 years, from 1981 to 2016, Gerry had an exclusive orthodontic practice in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Diplomat of The American Board of Orthodontics and Fellow of The American College of Dentists. Currently, Dr. Samson holds formal faculty appointments at 6 university postgraduate programs in the USA, lectures extensively, reviews articles submitted for publication to The American Journal of Orthodontics and The Angle Orthodontist. Dr. Harrell graduated from UAB Dental School in 1975 then pursued his orthodontic residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 1977. Dr. Harrell has been interested in 3D imaging since the early 1980's and also how early airway issues in children can cause altered growth and development, malocclusions and co-morbidities from sleep disorders later in life if left undetected and untreated. The face, jaw structure, TMJs and airway space are three-dimensional and are inter-related. Dr. David is a paediatric ENT surgeon in Australia. He is a strong advocate for teamwork in healthcare, and in particular on the topic of sleep disordered breathing. He is the author of two books, "Snored to Death" and "Don't ignore the snore" which are both available on Amazon as print and Kindle versions. Dr. Poyak is originally from outside of Cleveland, Ohio. After he graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, he married his wife, Susan, and they moved to Virginia Beach where he served as a dentist in the navy. He became interested in doing orthodontics on a limited basis in New Hampshire and continued to learn whenever he could about more advanced ortho procedures. His desire to learn led him to get involved with the IAO, (International Association for Orthodontics) an organization of over 2500 general dentists from around the world who want to advance their knowledge of ortho. Keith Miller has been a leader in the DSO industry since 2002. He helped lead a large Dental Service Organization through significant growth over the 13 years he was a principal in the business. Dr. Ackah graduated from dental school in 2009. After dental school he realized he needed more education to be the super dentist he wanted to be, so he went on to get his GPR training at the Pittsburgh VA System. After working for one year as a general dentist, he realized he loved surgery more than dentures, so he applied and got accepted into the Pitt periodontal residency. Following graduation in 2014, he moved to Houston, Texas where he set up a traveling periodontal business. When not doing dentistry, Dr. Ackah enjoys hosting the podcast "Tooth Be Told", cooking, traveling and watching soccer. Kyle Dumpert grew up in Bedford, PA. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008 with his bachelors, then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he graduated in 2013. After dental school, he completed a one year GPR at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. He then returned to his hometown of Bedford to work for his childhood dentist with plans to purchase the practice. In July 2017, Dr. Dumpert received his FAGD, then in June 2018, he received his MAGD. During the summer of 2020, Dr. Dumpert joined Dr. Walter Ackah as a cohost on Tooth Be Told.
