Subscription Trackers

Welcome to 2022!   Can you believe it!?! We're already entering a new year full of possibilities. One of the goals we typically may set for ourselves or family in this season of fresh change revolves around our finances.   Over the holiday's the amount of advertisements trying to sell you and I on yet one more subscription was too many to count. What I also noticed was that one company (well, there's actually many, but this one caught my eye) that is trying to help people "manage their subscriptions" was TrueBill.com. [Note: They are not a sponsor of our podcast or any of our publications nor a paid endorsement at the time of the airing of this episode].   But with a new year and a fresh look at our finances we all might be thinking about certain subscriptions in our lives that we've signed up for and just don't use any more. Years ago I called this a "subscription purge" and was criticized for even bringing up the topic of unwanted subscriptions and that there would come a time each year or by each individual or household that we would go through our finances and purge and cancel unwanted subscriptions in our lives.   We found these resources on the topic of subscriptions and cancelling the subscriptions in our lives helpful as reference articles. We included the links below if you'd like to learn more.   Citations   https://www.truebill.com/feature/manage-subscriptions https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/track-and-manage-your-paid-subscriptions https://www.cnbc.com/select/best-subscription-trackers/ https://money.usnews.com/money/personal-finance/saving-and-budgeting/articles/track-and-manage-subscriptions-with-these-apps   © Concierge Medicine Today, LLC. Physician Faith, Religion and Family Medicine

I'm pleased to introduce you to my friend and a trusted Physician, Dr. Robert T Bailey, a Pharmd and an MD. In today's discussion we touch upon the bygone days of a family physician who was just that, a trusted part of every family.   We'll also talk about healthcare reform, concierge medicine, what young physicians future will look like and even take a private moment to pray for Physicians who might be struggling with their own decisions.   In the United States, family medicine and primary care are on the verge of extinction. The biggest problem that has defined this issue is the lack of time physicians must spend with their patients, which, on average, is only seven minutes. Since the resources and reimbursement for primary care doctors are so razor thin, these physicians must build up panels of patients reaching into the thousands so they can run 25-30 patients through their office in one day. This is an unsustainable vicious cycle, as more resources are required for these number of patients, dramatically increasing the doctor’s overhead.   Dr. Bailey has spent the past 45 years in the medical field and has seen the role of family medicine diminish significantly, to the detriment of the patients and their health. He has developed a model that puts the primary care physician back at the center of healthcare and improves patient care coordination.   In Membership Primary Care: Transforming Family Medicine Is Key to Healthcare Reform, Robert T. Bailey, PharmD, MD, shares revelatory wisdom that offers solutions for our dysfunctional and expensive healthcare system. Dr. Bailey explores a successful model to restore family medicine to its former days of glory and prominence, so it can play a primary role in reforming our healthcare system, improving the wellness of US citizens, and substantially reducing the high cost of healthcare.   LEARN MORE, baileyfamilymedicalcare.com/dr-robert-b…ileys-book/   © Concierge Medicine Today, LLC.
