We dig deep into the sound of Season 3 of the HBO series True Detective with Supervising Sound Editor Mandell Winter and Dialog Editor Micah Loken. Both have been nominated for an Emmy for there work on the show and talk about how they got the dialog so smooth and created an unique sonic mood for the series.

In this episode we talk about the unique working relationship between SEAL Team's picture and sound departments during the show's post production. Editors David C. Cook and John Vitale sit down with the series' Supervising Sound Editor Greg Hedgepath and Sound Designer Charles Maynes. Today Teresa, René and Timothy sit down with Dallas Taylor from Defacto Sound. René and Timothy sit down with Watson Wu to talk about his epic field recording sessions for the game Ring of Elysium. Watson recorded car drops, multiple types of vehicles and lots and lots of guns to create an incredible sound library.

René and Timothy are joined by the Production Recordist, Dialog Editor and Re-Recording Mixer from Amazon's Marvellous Mrs Maisel. We track every step the dialog takes from the actor's mouths to the final print master. Mathew Price, Sara Stern and Ron Bochar talk us through how they deal with one of the most dialog heavy shows ever produced.

One of our favorite episodes was our first interview with Dave Whitehead. His kind and wise words were inspirational then and they continue to be now.
