Unlocked: Bonus Episode 42 - Novels as Spycraft 10 - Alienation and Weaponized Trauma in the Novel Monarch, feat. Candice Wuehle
(Unlocked from Patreon)
Today I'm joined by Candice Wuehle, the author of the novel Monarch (2022), a dizzyingly great work about beauty pageants, dissociation, mind control, and the occult. We start with a discussion of her literary influences and career before we enter a discussion of Monarch's plot and themes up to and including Monarch programming itself.
Note: as with most literary episodes, you would probably get more out of it if you've read Monarch but the episode should still be enjoyable if you haven't read it yet. Shout-out to Nucky for recommending the episode and providing some questions.

Unlocked: Bonus Episode 57 - Death Grips as Laurel Canyon 2.0, pt. 2: Psychonauts on the Moon, feat. Dakota
(unlocked from Patreon)
(part 2 of 2)
Today I'm rejoined by Dakota (@DEEP_RED_BELLS) to finish our conversation about the musical group Death Grips. We continue analyzing Exmilitary. This includes discussing the sample from the songs Culture Shock and 5D, leading us to discuss lightworkers, Blavatsky, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and the Church Universal and Triumphant. Then we have an extended discussion on MC Ride's tattoos, their symbolism, and the various left-hand path traditions to which they allude.
After that, we discuss the band's timeline, examine Epic Records' artists and executives, and the events surrounding their most controversial acts of self-sabotage and magic(k)al rebirth. This includes their time at the Chateau Marmont, fighting with their own label, leaking their own album, the possibility that their extreme online popularity may not be entirely organic, and the group's conception of the role of magic(k) in their careers.
To wrap up, Dakota tells some personal tales of debauchery set to Death Grips' music.

Unlocked: Bonus Episode 56 - Death Grips as Laurel Canyon 2.0, pt. 1: Manson Family Gnostics, feat. Dakota
(unlocked from Patreon)
(part 1 of 2)
Today I'm joined by Dakota (@DEEP_RED_BELLS) to discuss the musical group Death Grips. We talk about our personal experiences listening to them, the band's history and then discuss the band's familiarity with chaos magic(k). Then we get into some song analysis. I tended to focus on Exmilitary out of sheer familiarity with it but we do talk about various eras between the two episodes.
Finally, we ask the important question: folks, are Death Grips members of a "Mansonoid conspiracy"?
Note: I say 'sigil' weird in this; I know how it should be pronounced in general

Bonus Episode 44: Hibernian Film Club 1.2: The Wind That Shakes the Barley, feat. Trash
After a speedrun through 800 years of Anglo-Irish history, I'm joined by Trash (@bidenbigboi) to discuss the Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Ken Loach. The film takes place during the Irish War of Independence and the beginning of the Irish Civil War. We discuss the film, what it means to be Irish-American, and the various themes and lessons we can learn from such a film.

Bonus Episode 43: Hibernian Film Club 1.1: 800 Years of British Oppression, feat. Trash
It's that most wonderful time of year - St. Patrick's day. To get in the mood I'm launching the inaugural episode of the Hibernian Film Club. I'm joined by Trash (@bidenbigboi) to discuss the Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006) by Ken Loach, but to get to that point, we're forced to reckon with nearly 800 years of Anglo-Irish history to properly contextualize the film. This episode is an attempt to cover that history to get to discussing the Irish War of Independence and Irish Civil War.

Bonus Episode 41 - The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh pt. 11: American Gladio, a Glimpse into How the World Really Works, Literary Influences, and Publishing Woes, feat. Wendy Painting
(11 of 11)
The eleventh and final episode in conversation with Wendy Painting, author of Aberration in the Heartland of the Real: The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh. In this episode, we discuss the Oklahoma City Bombing as American Gladio, a strategy of tension scenario in which terror is used as social conditioning.
(note, to record 11 episodes, at certain points we were both getting quite tired, so neither of us might be at our most eloquent)
Then, Wendy Painting discusses her literary influences, the events that inspired her to write, her views as an author, and so forth. To cap it off, we discuss why there are multiple versions of her book and she explains the issues she's faced with her publisher.

The tenth episode in conversation with Wendy Painting, author of Aberration in the Heartland of the Real: The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh. Unlocked: Bonus Episode 39 - The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh pt. 9: the Bombing and its Aftermath, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and New Revelations about Dr. Jolyon West, feat. Wendy Painting
(9 of 11)
The ninth episode in conversation with Wendy Painting, author of Aberration in the Heartland of the Real: The Secret Lives of Timothy McVeigh. In this episode, we discuss the events of the Oklahoma City Bombing and its aftermath, including McVeigh's arrest, experiences with lawyers, and psychiatric evaluations. We discuss McVeigh's dissociative disorder and the implications therein. Yet again, Wendy has blessed us with extremely interesting, never-before-made public new information about the involvement of Dr. Jolyon West, arch-MKULTRA shrink, in the McVeigh case.
