Ep. 78: The Quad Birthday (Thanking God His Plans Are Higher Than Mine)
September 24th is a momentous calendar date in our home as four of our share a birthday on it.
Yep! Both our sets of twins are born on the same day, eight years apart.
Of course, something that could only be a “God thing” is such a good reminder His ways are higher than mine—from the way He orchestrated their birthdays to the fact that He gave me twins at all, even though I was convinced they sounded hard and no fun.
Be encouraged, friends that God’s sovereignty is a very good thing, even when it manifests in unexpected ways.

Ep. 77: Staying the Course (Walking Confidently in the Path God Has For Your Life)
In a world which trumpets the anti-biblical message of “you do you” and walking in “your truth,” it can be easy for Bible-believing Christians to swing to the opposite extreme of assuming anything we’re passionate about comes from love of self or can’t be trusted.
But the Bible makes it very clear that God directs our paths and has very specific purposes for our lives.
And when we walk in them confidently, we honor Him.
Even so, it can be easy to question the path He has for us when we encounter naysayers and critics who are quick to point out our faults.
Does this mean we simply ignore them or capitulate to their demands?
I believe the answer is more nuanced. In this episode, we talk about setting our faces like flint toward the will of our Father while being willing to adjust when someone has a legitimate concern.
It’s a balance and one we will only strike well by being rooted in God’s Word and listening to His Holy Spirit.

Ep. 76: “You Just Do” (Doing the Next Thing in the Lord’s Strength)
Ever wondered how you’ll make it through your day of work or homeschooling after a night of fractured sleep?
Ever felt completely stuck in a hard situation, without a clear path to a solution?
Ever wished someone wise would just write you a step-by-step solution to a sticky situation so you can love forward?
The truth is, we rarely receive enlightenment or next steps in the way we hope we will. Instead, the Lord asks us to simply keep taking steps forward, doing the next needful thing.
A truth God is teaching me very clearly in the season in which I find myself is one many of you need to hear as well, I believe: Sometimes, you don’t wonder how you’ll do it, “You just do” it.

Ep. 75: Christians and Politics (Part 2)
We’re back for part 2 of our chat with Blake Guichet about Christians and Politics.
We chat about whether open borders and socialism are truly biblical, what it means that God is the one who raises up and brings down kings, and what this means for our political decisions as Bible-believing Christians.
Wherever you fall on the political spectrum, we pray this episode will cause you to pray more, search your Bible diligently for truth, and trust yourself to the sovereign Lord of the universe whose purposes are always good, right, and true.

Ep. 74: Christians and Politics (A Chat with Blake Guichet)
Ever wondered whether Christians should vote and, if so, for whom? What about socialism vs. capitalism? Which is more biblical? And how will you handle it if you share something unpopular, and you receive backlash?
We tackle all of these topics and more in this two part series on “Christians and Politics.”
Make no mistake: This is two conservative women grappling with all of these issues from a biblical perspective. We are not neutral. And we believe your theology (bc everybody has one) should dictate the policies you support.
Ultimately, God is sovereign. But He has, in His sovereignty, placed us in this world for our good and His glory in every area of our lives, including politics. We pray this will be a helpful episode for anyone wondering, “How now shall we live?” in this tumultuous age.
