Ep. 89: Whaddya Wanna Know Wit’s Day (Head Coverings + Why Babies Go to Heaven)
On this episode, my pastor, whom I call Wit, tackles one of the biggest FAQs I’ve received over the last two years—the issue of whether modern Christian women should physically cover their heads, especially while in corporate worship. As always, he looks to Scripture as his guide and does a great job of addressing this sometimes contentious issue with clarity and compassion. We also talk about a biblical argument for the confidence that babies who die in the womb or very small children who die before they are able to comprehend the gospel are granted eternal life with Christ in heaven. As someone who has experienced four miscarriages, I found Wit’s explanation of his conviction in the mercy of God in this area to be well-expressed and comforting. Whatever your stance on either topic, I know you’ll be edified and encouraged to dig deep into God’s Word for Truth. Ep. 88: What Do You Wanna Know Wit’s Day (Christmas and the Lord’s Day)
Back by popular demand, my pastor, Rick Witmer (whom I call Wit), is on the podcast today to tackle some of your most pressing questions. We start with one that’s relevant for this time of year: “Is it biblical to celebrate Christmas?”And then, we move on to a biblical examination of why Christians worship on Sundays (instead of Saturdays) and what role Sabbath plays in the modern-day believer’s life. As you can see from the long list of Scripture references below, Wit infuses all of his answers with ample support from God’s Word. Whether or not you arrive at the same conclusions, I know you’ll be edified by his careful and thorough examination of your questions with the Bible as his guide.Sponsor Info:Voetberg Music AcademyCheck out Voetberg Music Academy Here Code: misformama20Bible References:Philippians 2:10-11 Romans 14:2-5, 12-131 Corinthians 4:13Exodus 20:132 Peter 1:3Revelation 1:101 Corinthians 9:20 Galatians 6:22 Corinthians 5:17Hebrews 4:14Hebrews 7:121 Corinthians 9:21Matthew 5:17-202 Timothy 3:16-171 Corinthians 16:2Exodus 31:12-13Revelation 21:5Revelation 19, 21Romans 141 Corinthians 8, 10Titus 1:21 Peter 2:2Leviticus 19:19Deuteronomy 22:11Exodus 23:19Genesis 9:41 Corinthians 11:3-16Links:M Is for MamaPenny Reward SystemLeave a Review for the M is for Mama ShowPaint & ProsePre-Order Hard Is Not the Same Thing as BadM Is For Mama Chore GuideM Is For Mama Meal Plan Sign-UpFind Abbie at:InstagramYouTubeFacebook

Ep. 87: Finding Gratitude in Unlikely Places
If we’re honest, we all have something to be grateful for: breath in our bodies, sun on our faces, a warm bowl of soup in our bellies, the sound of our children laughing in the other room… And then there are the even more obvious reasons to be thankful: job promotions, new babies, wishes fulfilled. But what about the things we don’t feel thankful for? Could there be any room for gratitude there? Any purpose or meaning behind the struggles we didn’t hope for?I believe, from personal experience and Biblical principle, the answer is yes! Ep. 85: An “Attagirl” for the Mama Bears
In a world which champions ungodly parenting philosophies, mocks the traditional family unit, and glorifies self over sacrifice, it can feel daunting to swim against the current of culture. But I have seen (and heard from) so many mamas who are doing just that and making a difference for good in their communities and the world at large. This episode is “an attagirl” and an encouragement to buck the status quo and value God’s wisdom above man’s. I am honored to stand with the Mama Bears who fear God not man and are invested in raising their children in the “teaching and admonition of the Lord.”Keep going. Your work matters, and the Lord is with you every step of the way.
