123 / Women And Competition with Diann Wingert
On this episode we talk about Women & Competition: Envy, Jealousy and all the other Green-Eyed Monsters. And in the spirit of supporting, collaborating, acknowledging and celebrating the talent and gifts of other women, I’ve asked a woman I admire a great deal to join me!
Diann Wingert is a psychotherapist turned business strategist and coach, on a mission to help female solopreneurs with busy brains get focused, fired up and flame retardant. Host of The Driven Woman Entrepreneur Podcast, Diann does similar work with a similar audience, in similar ways as me…basically, I could see her as competition, but I don’t. I see her as inspiration, motivation, someone to collaborate with and leverage for support.
A loving reminder that gossiping, judging, comparing, or jealousy will ALWAYS say more about the person doing it than the person it’s being done to.
So here’s my call to action to all the women that are listening. First, stop being an asshole. Second, stop surrounding yourself with them. BOTH of those things are definitely woman’s work.

122 / What I Know So Far
This episode is a collection of all the things I know, so far. And believe me when I say I could fill hours upon hours of podcasts with the things I DON’T know (which is awesome!). Because the less I think I know, the more free and open I feel.
How about you? What do you know so far?
And why am I asking?
Well because, your answer is the answer. When I say this is woman’s work, it begs the question, what is this? But my goal was never to define it for you, only to create the space for you to ask yourself.
So what do you know so far? Whatever your answer is, do that. BE that. All of us together, living our truth… That is Woman’s Work.

121 / Glass Ceilings & Sticky Floors with Erica Rooney
Why do we call it a “glass ceiling?”
I’m assuming it’s because the barriers we face as women in the workforce often are invisible, intangible, unofficial and artificial. It’s that impenetrable barrier that keeps qualified individuals, like us, from ascending to higher level positions.
But, in my experience, the glass ceiling feels more like a dam. We SEE it, we just don’t know how to break it or get to the other side.
Our guest today is here to talk about both glass ceilings and sticky floors. Erica Rooney is an Executive Coach & Consultant, Chief People Officer - who is on a mission, to support women to break out of their “sticky floors”, and bust through the glass ceilings to live a life filled with purpose and passion.
Here’s what I know: You are so much more powerful than you think you are. When you stand in your power, you know what to do.

120 / Success Mindset with Melissa Froehlich
I don’t know about you but I am f#*!ing tired of the outdated, one sided definition of success that is all wrapped up in position and profit.
On today’s episode I invite you to redefine success on your own terms. Here to help us think through that is Melissa Froehlich - sought after business strategist, mentor and certified mindset coach - who works predominantly with women business owners who are looking to build not only profitable businesses, but ones that bring freedom and fulfillment.
What if income is just one piece of the success puzzle?
What does success mean to you? What does your life look like? How do you feel? Where do you spend your days and who do you spend them with? Only you have the answer, but knowing your answer is necessary.
Listen in here for part 2 of this conversation on Melissa’s podcast, The UpLevel Lounge.

119 / Time Management with Kelly Nolan
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, time management is crap.
Time is fixed and neutral, we all have the same 60 minutes in an hour, the same 24 hours in a day, the same 7 days in a week. Unless someone has figured out how to manipulate time, then time cannot be managed. So if it’s not time management, then why do some people seem to accomplish so much more? I’d suggest that it’s because those people have figured out the art of CHOICE management. They understand that their big differentiator is the choice they make with the time that they have.
On this episode I’ve asked Kelly Nolan - attorney-turned-time management strategist, to join us to share some of her tips for making choices with less stress and more calm. Her system, the Bright Method, has been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, and her work has been published in Forbes, Parents, and Fast Company.

117 / Steps To Getting Better Pay And A Promotion with Stacy Mayer
On today’s episode we are going to talk about the steps you can take to better titles and better pay, all while bringing your whole self to the leadership table.
You DO deserve it, you HAVE earned it, you ARE ready. And the answer is going to be no if you don’t ask, anyway. So you might as well ask.
My guest today is Stacy Mayer - bestselling Author of “Promotions Made Easy,” Executive Coach and Promotion Strategist, and creator of Executive Ahead of Time - a group coaching program that helps women get promoted to the executive suite on their terms. Stacy shares with us some practical tips to ensure that you’re positioning yourself for promotion.
Stop waiting to feel ready. Ready isn’t a destination, it’s a choice. Of course there are things that you can do to prepare and to strategize, but at the end of the day we all must choose confidence on the road to competence. So go in there and ask! I’ll be here rooting for you.

116 / F*@! Social Media
After 6 months of showing up 5 days a week, spending hours on copy and content, investing almost $9,000 a month, I can confidently say I HATE social media.
On today’s episode, I share with you why I invested my time and money heavily into social media, what did and didn’t work for me, lessons learned, and ultimately why I’ve decided to stop investing in social media growth.
And before you worry about my sanity, please know that I know it’s considered one of the best ways to grow your business, make connections, build credibility, and make sales. I know it’s a business builder, possibly THE business builder in today’s day and age.
And I just don’t care.
I have no regrets about the last 6 months, I’m glad I took the risk, and I’m glad I know now without a shadow of the doubt that social media is just not for me. Confidence doesn’t live there.
We all face decisions that feel hard, risky, and downright scary… I hope that you also choose to trust yourself. I hope you listen to your inner voice even if all the outside voices are saying something different. After all, that is what confidence is all about. Trust yourself, firmly and boldly.

115 / Unresolved Conflict with Julie Holunga
My guest on this episode talks about something so messy and so uncomfortable, but also so important as it’s something we’ve all experienced; unresolved conflict. Julie Holunga is a Leadership Trainer, Executive Coach and contributing Author to the leadership book for women, On The Rise. Julie walks us through the biggest challenges we face when it comes to conflict, and she gives beneficial tips to help you work through it.
There are people in your life you can and should have conflict with, knowing it’ll get resolved because they are in it with you. They are equally invested in resolving it together. Those are the people you fight with and fight for.
And there are some people where conflict may be better left unresolved, leaving you to move forward and create your own closure.
Knowing the difference? Well that is woman’s work.

114 / The Person You're Forgetting to Thank
It’s the day before turkey day and I am grateful for you! Whether you’ve been listening to the This Is Woman’s Work podcast since episode 1, or you’re brand new here - it absolutely makes my day that with ALL the options available to you, you choose to listen to me ranting into a mic. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
We all have things to be grateful for, even if it’s the simplest or smallest of things. But what if, for this Thanksgiving (or really any day, you don’t need a holiday to be grateful), you chose to be grateful to and for yourself. What if this holiday is about honoring you.
Because, let’s face it, YOU are probably the thing that you’ve let go most unnoticed and unappreciated in your own mind. So I’m gonna ask that you celebrate you, feed you, fill yourself up (and not just with mashed potatoes and stuffing) with thankfulness, generosity and ultimate gratitude. That is woman’s work.
