Ninety participants were asked to practice a technique for inducing lucid dreams. Of these, 28 reported lucid dreams of deceased persons. A few of these dreams seemed evidential of post-mortem survival, although this was not the purpose of the study. So, at the speed of light, time stops completely. A human being traveling at the speed of light could traverse the entire universe without growing one day older. Yet, from the point of an observer, the trip would have taken billions of years. Jeffrey suggests that this scientific fact has enormous implications for the potential of our consciousness.
