James Tunney, LLM, is an Irish Barrister who has lectured on legal matters throughout the world. He is a poet, a visual artist, and also author of The Mystical Accord: Sutras to Suit Our Times, Lines for Spiritual Evolution. In addition, he has written two dystopian novels — Blue Lies September, and Ireland I Don’t Recognize Who She Is. His website is http://www.jamestunney.com. Bruce Olav Solheim, PhD, is professor of history at Citrus College in Glendora, California. He also served as a Fulbright professor in 2003 at the University of Tromsø in northern Norway. Here Jeff looks back at the previous monologue and remarks that he is filled with the significance of the insight that “we can shift our consciousness with a single thought”. Considering that we each experience 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts a day, the potential for leveraging small shifts in awareness is tremendous. However, sometimes we are so attached that a single thought is insufficient to pull us out of a particular state. This is the problem that Jeff addresses now, referencing his experiences in 1969 as a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
