Travis “The Beard” returns! The milestone “oral episode!” And on top of everything else, this episode is made extra exciting by the SuperSix-style awards ceremony, as the guys nominate six players for each of six 2018 superflex fantasy season-long categories, and name six winners. Mahomes, Barkley, Adams and Ertz vie for fantasy MVP, along with a couple darkhorse nominees; the “Super SuperFlex” award goes to the best QB who was drafted as a QB2; the “Waiver Wire Wonder” is awarded to the player who came off the wire to lead fantasy owners to glory, with early season studs like James Conner and Phillip Lindsay squaring off against late season ringers like C.J. Anderson and Damien Williams; Saquon-oh-one takes on underdogs like Mayfield, Ridley and Chubb for the Rookie of the Year award; the “El Busto” award goes to the biggest bust of the year, and can anyone unseat Le’Veon Bell after missing the entire season? Sammy Watkins, Corey Davis, Leonard Fournette and others make their case; and the SuperSleeper award recognizes the late-round lotto ticket that hit the jackpot, with George Kittle, Tyler Boyd and Tyler Lockett striking gold for their owners. We. Are. BACK!!! Back from a month-long hiatus, the SuperShow shifts its primary focus to the dynasty superflex offseason. John and James start with reflections on the “game about the game,” with lessons learned in 2018; both of the guys focus on lineup-setting revelations, and John finally and begrudgingly concedes an important point on dynasty running backs. Then, the guys talk through the process of updating their DynastyLeagueFootball.com Superflex/2QB rankings (check them out HERE) by identifying their top 5 at each position, and highlighting some of the bigger moves in their respective rankings – both risers and fallers. The great QB1 debate officially begins as Pat Mahomes takes over the top spot for one of the SuperFriends but not the other; meanwhile, an old familiar name sneaks into the QB1 conversation.
