058: Healing from traumatic brain injury and learning to ask for help with Dr. Mallory Fox

Life as we know it can change in an instant - and that is exactly what our guest today experienced just over a year ago when a car accident changed the course of her career and life. Dr Mallory Fox is the owner of Foxy FIT and co-owner of Baptiste Power Yoga Phoenix. She loves to serve her community through mindful movement and conscious connection. She is also a fellow Lululemon ambassador which is how we met, so it's no surprise that she lists her addictions as "Lululemon and coffee" Our intention is that today's conversation offers hope to anyone else who may be healing from trauma, and that it would also serve as a reminder that, even if the attitude of "I'll do it myself" has worked for you in the past (because for a lot of us, it has)...you can do so much more if you allow others to contribute to you, and remember that you are NOT meant to do life (or business) alone. In this episode we talk about: Mallory's journey recovering from a traumatic brain injury How the experience helped Mallory learn to ask for (and accept) help How allowing others to contribute actually fosters deeper connection with people Connect with Mallory: instagram.com/drfoxyfit instagram.com/baptistepoweryogaphoenix Donate to Love Your Brain (501c): https://give.classy.org/malloryandbrian Let's connect! instagram.com/powerhouse_women instagram.com/llindseyschwartz facebook.com/groups/powerhousewomencommunity

057: Massive results require massive commitment

I wish I could tell you that I've always been naturally willing to play BIG and risk failure, that I've coached myself through my own limiting beliefs without any outside help, and that I've always had the grit to keep going in pursuit of a goal when everything in me wants to quit. I haven't. Maybe you're able to create success without having any outside support, but if I'm being totally transparent I've never made massive leaps without first creating MASSIVE accountability for myself. And today we are talking ALL about how you can do the same thing, and how to know if you're ready to make a bigger FINANCIAL investment in your next level of growth In this episode you will learn: Why creating the right kind of pressure can help push you beyond your current limits How to know if you're ready to invest in yourself at a higher level What to do in the meantime if you're not quite ready yet! 055: Tap into more creativity and inspiration with this daily ritual

Do you ever feel stuck or totally uninspired when you go to create content? I feel you girl...I mean, I wrote a whole book and I swear I get the worst writer's block when it comes to writing an Instagram caption… Well today we're talking about how you can create the HABIT of feeling more inspired, by starting a daily writing practice. This has seriously changed my LIFE over the past few months and it has led to not only the inspiration behind podcast episodes and social media posts, but even some new ideas for businesses or passion projects that I want to start. If you've been feeling stuck, or like you need a jolt of fresh inspiration, this episode is for you! In this episode you will learn: How to create the HABIT of being inspired Some guidelines for creating a daily writing practice Some great writing prompts to get you started (listed below!) My favorite writing prompts: What is the most interesting conversation you've had in the past week? What question have you been asked multiple times in the past month, or what theme do you notice showing up with the people in your life? What instagram post or story were you surprised that people seemed to really resonate with? What other details can you share on that topic? What have you felt challenged by lately, that others may be able to relate to? What is inspiring to you right now? What is something you LOVE teaching others? Think back to a great podcast episode you heard recently and summarize the top 2-3 things you took away from it, in your own words When in doubt, do a Unicorn Brainstorming session!! Wouldn't it be cool IF... Join us at Event Luv January 7-11, 2020! 054: The truth about "mom guilt" and how to overcome it Shira Nelson

There are so many powerhouse MOMS in our community, and if there is one theme I've heard almost every single mom I know talk about struggling with, it's MOM GUILT. Today we're tackling the topic of guilt and why (whether you are a mom or not) the expectations we put on ourselves can cripple our ability to make the impact we know we're meant to make. My guest is Shira Nelson, the founder of MomBeyondBaby where she helps moms become their best and live a life of fulfillment. Shira has coached thousands of moms across the globe through fitness and business and nothing gets her more excited than mamas finding their true purpose after babies. In this episode we talk about: The different challenges that come with different stages of parenthood (and how they parallel the entrepreneurship journey!) What "mom guilt" really stems from and whether or not it ever goes away How investing time and care into yourself isn't just for you, it's for the little ones who are watching you Connect with Shira: instagram.com/mombeyondbaby Let's be friends! instagram.com/powerhouse_women facebook.com/groups/powerhousewomencommunity

053: Someone's already doing what I want to do (and doing it better)

One of the biggest roadblocks that I think keeps many of us from stepping into our purpose is the fear that someone else is already doing what we want to do, and they are doing it better than we could (or so we think). I have definitely been stopped by that fear before--and if you have too, today I'm sharing what has helped me break free from this limiting belief, and finally start putting my ideas into action. In this episode you will learn: One of the biggest limiting beliefs or fears that stops people from pursuing their big ideas How to stop comparing your purpose to what others are doing The reason why we need all different voices and people sharing similar messages Join us at Event Luv January 7-11, 2020!
