It All Starts With Self-Awareness & Self-Regulation

It's one's ability to truly look at themselves in the mirror and be honest with oneself. Second, everybody needs to improve self regulation their ability to not impulsively disrupt or interrupt and to truly stay in the moment and avoid imparting judgment on others. Think about every interaction we have with people whether it would be providing feedback or disappointing them when they did not get a promotion do people react calmly or emotionally? Every Company Needs A Hero

Now, I'm not going to disclose the companies, but right now we're working with three different companies where each organization is lucky enough to have a hero. Now, a hero is somebody that is willing to speak up, talk to upper level management, represent the views of the people. Now, with that being said, I even cringe saying what I just shared with you. See, I think everybody should go to the source. I think where we have a lack of trust in the workplace is when people tell other people and they don't tell the people that are the most important. The people that they're complaining about are the people that they need to work more effectively with the source. See, heroes are willing to listen. Heroes will take things on on top of their own job duties. Challenging Times Create Opportunities

Send us a text Recently, I've talked to two different companies. One, a financial services firm, and another one in the manufacturing sector. Both were telling me of potential pending layoffs. Change is coming. Now I'm gonna do something that's gonna be perceived, at least initially, to be a little bit insensitive. Now, what are employees gonna do? Are employees actually gonna come and say, What can I do to help you? I know the company's in trouble, or the company needs extra effort. See what's been happening the last couple years is we've gotta figure out ways to make sure our employees are happy. We gotta give them flex scheduling, and I'm not against any of those things yet. I also go back to an article I wrote a few years ago. What if we abolished payroll and employees invoiced for their time? And somebody said, Wow, that would really drive work ethic. See, I'm afraid we've worked around employees, their issues. I'm gonna say it, stress, anxiety, mental health, all important things. Yet we've also had a certain percentage of the industry and population say, Well, I'm feeling a little stressed. And they kind of grab ahold of that as a tool to not work as hard as potentially as they could. Now, my little company here, we don't have that choice. What Type of Employee Are You?

Send us a text At Progress Coaching, we do not get involved in interviewing work or interviewing skills or anything like that. The one thing I would share with all of you more than anything is that when we're hiring people, I think we have to change what we do. I think we have to really, really get people to be transparent with the themselves. I hear all too often, especially, and I'm gonna say it from the younger generation. I don't think the older generation does it as much. I think we all can do this is as we tend to take a job as a stepping stone yet. You don't say that in the interview, right? You don't say, well, I'm gonna be here about six to 12 months, and then I'm gonna move on and I'm gonna take the training that you gave me and I'm going to take it to another company. Most people don't do that right yet.
