How to set up an ANONYMOUS iPhone & Apple Computer

Our lives and day-to-day activities have largely moved onto our digital devices. But this new digital landscape is filled with people trying to monitor these activities and figure out exactly what we’re doing on our devices. What if we don’t want all of our online activity to be viewable by strangers?I decided to see if it were possible to set up new apple devices that weren’t tied to my identity in any way – that were completely anonymous. And I found the more private I wanted to be... the less convenient it was. Some quick tips:Use cashBeware of iCloudDisable SiriNEVER remember wifi networks!I chose Apple products for this video because they’re mainstream, and will go over some other private solutions in other videos. One resource I highly recommend if you’re interested in extreme privacy is a fantastic book by Michael Bazzel called “Extreme Privacy: What It Takes to Disappear”https://amzn.to/3dGycNQWatch on Odysee:https://open.lbry.com/@NaomiBrockwell:4/anonymous-apple-products:f?r=GBKV3BnkTF8CCXcAX4Epab9vvHEgnLE1Edited by Lee RennieTo make a tax-deductible (in the US) donation to my channel, visit https://cointr.ee/nbtvSign up for the free cryptobeat newsletter here:https://Naomibrockwell.com/cryptobeatVisit website:  https://www.nbtv.media Support the show

Bitcoin and Inflation: What's the connection?

Are we in for another bear cycle lasting years, or are we going to the moon? To figure that out, we have to look at what caused the recent run up. Brian Brooks is the former Acting Comptroller of the Currency, and current CEO of Binance.US, so he has a particularly insightful perspective that bridges the worlds of traditional finance and crypto.Renowned economist, George Selgin, is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Cato Institute's Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives.I chat to them both about what's going on with the US dollar money supply right now, and how that might affect your bitcoin holdings. Edited by Lee RennieTo make a tax-deductible (in the US) donation to my channel, visit https://cointr.ee/nbtvSign up for the free cryptobeat newsletter here:https://Naomibrockwell.com/cryptobeatWatch on Odysee:https://open.lbry.com/@NaomiBrockwell:4/bitcoin-and-inflation:aSupport the show

The MOST private email service (2021)

E-mail remains an essential backbone of internet communication, with over 4 billion users worldwide. But is it private? Actually it's inherently insecure. Furthermore, the vast majority of users rely on free online email services. Did you know that they use AI algorithms to scan your emails in order to learn more about you? Or that emails are stored in the clear, meaning in the event of a hack, all your emails would be leaked? Do you know what Metadata is and how much is collected by your email provider? In this video, we go over what makes a good private email service and provide you with valuable suggestions for safer alternatives than the big names you are used to.There is no one-size-fits-all answer for email, as it depends on your own threat model. But moving away from that old gmail or yahoo account is a GREAT place to start.Watch on Odysee: https://open.lbry.com/@NaomiBrockwell:4/most-private-email:4?r=GBKV3BnkTF8CCXcAX4Epab9vvHEgnLE1Written by Reuben YapEdited by Lee RennieTo make a tax-deductible (in the US) donation to NBTV, visit https://cointr.ee/nbtvSign up for the free CryptoBeat newsletter here: https://Naomibrockwell.com/cryptobeat Support the show

Amazon sidewalk... a surveillance network?

Amazon Sidewalk has launched! But how secure is it? As of today, owners of Ring security cameras and Alexa devices are contributing a small portion of their internet bandwidth to create a network that makes it so devices stay connected further away from a home router and remain online when local Wi-Fi goes down. Sounds great for home security, but what about privacy? It means Amazon can stay connected to you AT ALL TIMES. And everyone with an Amazon device is automatically opted-IN by default. Millions of people will now be co-opted into the program whether they know anything about it or not. It's also worth noting that fmr NSA director Keith Alexander now works on the board of Amazon. As always, your privacy choices are your own preference, but you should ALWAYS be aware when people are collecting your data so that you can make informed decisions. But if you are privacy conscious, you might want to Opt out of Sidewalk!Support the show

Ryanair Flight ILLEGALLY Grounded to Catch Dissident… Déjà vu?

Outrage sparked after a Ryanair flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Belarus this week, so that authorities could arrested an opposition activist on board. The orders to arrest journalist, Roman Protasevich, came directly from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. US and EU officials have condemned the actions calling it "outrageous and illegal behavior” and some are even calling it “unprecedented”.The government’s attack on the media in Belarus is disgraceful. However, some of the very same figures who are now outraged at Belarus are conveniently forgetting their own actions just eight years ago when the US and EU conspired to ground a plane carrying the President of Bolivia in order to conduct a search for Edward Snowden.  I’d like their pro “freedom of the press” narrative more if it were actually sincere, but while Julian Assange is still behind bars, it’s hard to believe that the Biden administration and US pundits have suddenly embraced dissident journalists and information freedom.Watch on Odysee:https://open.lbry.com/@NaomiBrockwell:4/Ryanair-Flight-ILLEGALLY-Grounded:0?r=9mvuwPzyZX55TFcyh5Yhwgm8HEXsrtSmTo make a tax-deductible (in the US) donation to NBTV, visit https://www.nbtv.media/supportSign up for the free CryptoBeat newsletter here:https://cryptobeat.substack.com/Beware of scammers, I will never give you a phone number or reach out to you with investment advice. The UNTOLD story of Bitcoin Pizza Day

The story of the $400,000,000 Pizza! (or $380,000,000 to be precise...)Eleven years ago today, Laszlo Hanyecz made what would become one of the most famous food purchases of all time, and now today will forever be known as Bitcoin Pizza Day.Hanyecz asked an online forum if anyone would be willing to send him 2 large pizzas in exchange for 10,000 Bitcoins.Jeremy Sturdivant took the offer, and it was the first exchange of real world goods for Bitcoin in history. Some say both men were ultimately fools for not holding onto those 10,000 Bitcoin. Others recognize that this exchange grounded bitcoin’s price in terms of real world goods for the first time ever, and became a catalyst for greater adoption. We finally had a money that was uncensorable, peer-to-peer, permissionless, and you could actually use it in your every day life to buy things. It was a revolution, covered in marinara sauce.Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, everyone! And thank you Hanyecz and Sturdivant for helping ignite what quickly became a full fledged crypto revolution! To make a tax-deductible (in the US) donation to NBTV, visit https://www.nbtv.media/supportSign up for the free CryptoBeat newsletter here:https://cryptobeat.substack.com/Beware of scammers, I will never give you a phone number or reach out to you with investment advice.
