78. Leveraging Loss Aversion

In today's episode, I reference a great book, Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss. This book shares negotiating strategies and techniques based on Voss' time in the FBI.   When I first read this book, one of my favorite tactics that I learned was the concept of leveraging loss aversion and how it can have a significant influence on life and business.   Throughout the episode, I provide real-world examples that showcase the practical application of leveraging loss aversion. My goal is to share key takeaways from these insightful scenarios, offering valuable insights for success.   Today's challenge: How can you leverage loss aversion in your business world today? 75. Knowledge Isn't Power

In this episode, we are discussing why knowledge is, in fact, not power and why the commonly known phrase 'knowledge is power' was taken out of context from the beginning.   I share a personal epiphany that I recently had around all of the books I have read in the last few years and the realization of the disparity between gaining knowledge from those books and taking meaningful action.   Today's challenge: What have you learned recently but you have yet to take action and apply the knowledge you learned? What can you do today to take action around that knowledge? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network

74. Limitless Mindset

In this episode, I am digging into mindset, specifically how to adopt and maintain a limitless mindset.   I share a story that made history back in the 1950s. Sir Roger Bannister was the first athlete to run the first sub-4-minute mile, which up until then had been deemed 'impossible' to achieve. What has happened since then is impressive.   We discuss a limiting mindset vs a limitless mindset and the impact your mindset will have on those around you.   Today's challenge: Where is your mindset too fixed? Where do you have limiting beliefs? What can we do to block limiting beliefs? How can you create new beliefs to help you adopt that limitless mindset? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network

In our daily lives, we often overlook the ripple effects of our choices.   In this episode, I dive into second-order consequences and why we should reflect on our decision-making patterns.   Today's challenge: What decisions do you have to make where you are focusing on the primary decision to be made, but you have not yet considered the second-order consequence? Then, based on that second-order consequence, does it influence the primary decision being made? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network

72. Increase Your Options, Increase Your Success

In this episode, I am sharing a lesson that I have learned from past experiences, in both life and business.   Making great decisions is a function of the number of options you have available to you.   Having many different options to choose from will allow you to make a better decision and choose the best possible option. On the contrary, when you have limited options to choose from, you may become restricted in your ability to make informed decisions.   Today's challenge: What decision do you have to make today when you don't have enough options available to you? What steps can you take to increase your number of options and thus increase your chances of success? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network

71. What's In It For Me?

What's in it for me? This acronym, WIIFM, serves as a strategic approach to evaluate the significance of something and identify the advantages or benefits it offers to individuals.   I share a couple of examples of how to use WIIFM in business and life:   In business when you understand the WIIFM as it pertains to your clients or customers, you can have much more significant influence over their purchasing decisions. By understanding what they stand to gain, you can tailor your approach and effectively persuade them.   This strategy can also be used for developing relationships - personal or professional. By grasping what others can gain from knowing you or collaborating with you, you can articulate those specific benefits to help them recognize the advantages of having a relationship with you.   Today's challenge: As you go about life today, as you are speaking to other individuals, take a moment to ask yourself 'What's in it for them?' and get very clear around. How can you further leverage this WIIFM process in your personal and professional worlds? -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network

69. When in Doubt, Disclose - George & the Cherry Tree

In celebration of the 4th of July, I am revisiting a story about George Washington - George and the Cherry Tree.   In this story, George receives a gift from his father, makes a questionable choice, and is later tested with telling the truth. At this moment, although George may have initially upset his father with the choice he made, his father was proud that his son told the truth.   In the spirit of being honest, I share a phrase that I ask myself on a regular basis to remind myself to display truth and honesty in any situation.   Today's focusing question: What's on your mind right now that you should consider being more transparent around? Would being honest today make for a better outcome in the long run?   Wishing you all a happy and safe Independence Day! -- Subscribe to our daily texts!   Follow us on Facebook for more daily tips on how to improve your business and your life.   Part of the Win Make Give Podcast Network
