57. ANUSHRI GOKHALE on Conscious Love, Parental Marriage Expectations, and Manifesting your Soulmate
Welcome back! We are SO excited for this week's episode with Anushri Gokhale. Anushri is a dating coach and mentor and creator of the Conscious Love Course, helping women ditch the dating drama and attract their soulmate. We're chatting all about how to fall in love with yourself, let go of blocks, and manifest your soulmate. Anushri shares her own story of how she went from being engaged to someone she did not want to marry to being single and falling in love with self-development, and how that led her to her soulmate.
We also chat about spirituality and channeling, coping with the loss of a loved one, and how to handle parental expectations when it comes to marriage and career. Anushri was born in India and moved to the United States when she was young, but her parents were set on her marrying an Indian doctor, and she opens up about how she overcame her fear of disappointing them and chose her own path rather than the one that was chosen for her.
Anushri is seriously the friend you want to have on speed dial for all your dating and life advice! You can find her on Instagram at @anushri.gokhale where you can DM her to get on the waitlist for her 1:1 and group coaching.

55. MATT WEST on Personal Growth, People Pleasing & Mindset vs. Mindfulness
Welcome back! This week’s guest is smart West, psychologist, podcast host, and co-founder of the Boom Journal meditation app. Matt shares the story about how an injury in high school disrupted his life as an athlete, but led him to discover a deep passion for psychology, and eventually for mindful journaling. We talk about how in these obstacles there is often a silver lining and how if you aren’t mindful about your decisions, sometimes life will make those decisions for you.
Matt opens up about his own experience getting everything he thought he wanted (degree, job, family, house), only to find that there was still something missing. He talks about being a people pleaser and the importance of valuing and prioritizing yourself so you can show up for everyone else. He also gives tangible tips for how to be more mindful, including how to develop a mindfulness practice from scratch. We talk about the difference between mindset and mindfulness and different practices we can all implement into day.
Find Matt on Instagram @iammattwest where you can download his app Boom Journal, or listen to his podcast, Brain Boom
