Episode 62: Pat McAuley's TEDx Talk: Food's Impact On Our Ability To Love

"Know that what you're about to eat not only impacts your health, but it has a profound impact on your ability to love and care for the people in your life."Nearly 4 years ago, a change I made to my plate rocked my world. In just months, I rid myself of lifelong battles with asthma, allergies, arthritis, and countless other issues. What rocked my world even more was a question I began asking myself - why didn't anyone tell me about this? Why didn't any doctor, nutritionist, coach, friend, or anyone present me with this life-changing information? It has become my life mission to make people aware of this information. Information I felt like I was robbed of for the first 25 years of my life. Information that, if you so choose, has the power to drastically alter your health and life.Beyond all the incredible health benefits, I noticed something shift inside me that I struggle to explain. A sense of calm and ease, a sense of true peace within me. This shift has allowed me to truly feel for the first time things like empathy, compassion, and love. This shift has had a profound impact on my ability to connect with and love the people closest to me. It has been the greatest gift I've ever been given. What we choose to put inside of our bodies not only impacts our health, it also impacts our ability to love the people in our lives.I encourage you to think about that. If you struggle to make better eating decisions for your own health, make better decisions for the people you love. Do you, for them.Link to TEDx Video: https://youtu.be/jHkYGWISYEE

"Everyone is opposed to animal abuse. Everyone is already vegan on the inside. Realizing that is 90% of it, changing your diet is the last 10% of it."On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, I sit down with the notorious Vegan Bros, Phil and Matt Letten.  Phil and Matt are two wildly popular figures in the vegan movement, largely due to their unfiltered and down to earth approach to the lifestyle.  Their most recent endeavor is a new book called Vodka Is Vegan (which comes out on June 5th!) and is undoubtedly going to have a massive impact.  We talk about their respective journeys from growing up in a cult-like religious community, how they both overcame numerous personal battles, what prompted their vegan transformations, why veganism is not an all or nothing proposition, everything about their new book Vodka Is Vegan, and so much more. Episode 57: David O'Brien & Dave's Raw Food

"I live in physical bliss every single second of every day, solely because of my food choices... it's the greatest gift I've ever been given."On this week's episode of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast, I sit down with the man, the myth, the legend, David O'Brien. If you've been following the podcast, you may remember Dave from Episode 22, it is still one of the most popular episodes I've done. From being a regular roofer who ate pizza for lunch, to watching his Dad die of cancer, to setting out on a journey to learn from the world's best people about nutrition, to pouring his life into giving people the power to change their lives through food, Dave's story is absolutely incredible.Since that episode, I've stayed in touch with and gotten to know Dave better. I continue to be absolutely in awe about his level of commitment to changing people's lives through food. I've gotten to learn more about his most recent venture, Dave's Raw Food, and have seen first hand what goes into his products. In short, I have never seen better. When you hear Dave speak, you'll understand that he does not mess around with what he puts in his body, and every food product he makes is a direct reflection of that. He is one of the most knowledgeable people in the country when it comes to human nutrition. Sit back, get your notebooks out, and get ready to have knowledge dropped on you! Also, worth noting, I have no financial ties to Dave's Raw Food whatsoever. I simply feel that Dave's story and his products have the power to change people's lives, which is exactly the mission of the Eat Green Make Green Podcast.Show NotesDave's Previous Episode: http://www.eatgreenmakegreen.com/podcast-1/2017/8/28/episode-22-dave-obrien-anyone-can-do-itDave's Raw Food Website: https://davesrawfood.com/Dave's Raw Food Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/davesrawfoods/
